I think everyone needs to try to sing scales from middle C and up and down again just very slowly and record yourself and listen how you sound just singing scale. This is not an easy song the begin with and factoring her tiredness, nodules, miscarriage, pressure (from crews and everything) it's a lot to take in okay. So be cool.
This is Mariah's worst performance ever. And no, it's not because she's losing/lost her voice or due to bad technique, it's because she has vocal nodules and, even though she's had them most her life, they were playing her up a lot in '08 and 09 (which was actually stated by Mariah herself in a magazing interview).
This was a little after her miscarriage. Cut her some slack. Not to mention it looks as if she can't hear herself over the music. It's actually a pretty good performance. People criticize whenever they can I swear. If she sang this a little better people would then say she lipsynced. There's just no pleasing everyone.

she sounds amazing, yes there is strain but she was going threw some minor health issues at this time and on top of that she was promoting a lot of stuff so sleep wasn't really on the schedule. i would like to see someone sing this song everyday and see how they sound by the 3rd day

Truth is, this song is really difficult but she can pull it off, she made mistakes that I thought she would have known better than to do, 1. She didnt let background singers handle enough of the chorus <---That's the worse mistake she could have made, but as you can see in later performances she learned. Truth is, this song is really difficult but she can pull it off, she made mistakes that I thought she would have known better than to do, 1. She didnt let background singers handle enough of the chorus <---That's the worse mistake she could have made, but as you can see in later performances she learned. Because her voice isn't bad here. just bad breathing techniques

@OKzs No,that was playback, If U hear another live performances,you can clearly see how she uses the same playback in all of her HATEU lives,she have the same vocal accidents,the same vibrato,texture & her voice breaks at the same parts
She's used to lip synch the high chest and whistle notes..
that's because she put all of her registers in the songs,and,obviously,her voice can be dawned if she sings 2 hours in a concert using all of her gorgeous vocal range..she lip synch,but that's justified
