@levkosenko the scene was about charlie taking fate into his own hands. He knew he was going to die at some point and he decided to take control of his life. And while he could have escaped he decided to accept and embrace death with self sacrifice. Charlie died as a whole person, unlike the shattered one he was while he was living.
This was one of the very, very few times (and definitely the most) I've ever cried watching a TV show. My very, very close second was the Doctor Who episode Doomsday, from Season 2.
Desmond's Call was a touching scene, but honestly this should have been first. Charlie sacrificed himself for everyone on the island. And even his last few moments, he realizes Desmond was wrong, but still expresses no hard feelings. Rather, he uses his last moments to warn everyone on the island of coming danger. That's pretty damn selfless.
Oh and how the ffff does Mikhail keep coming back to life?
I've changed my mind on this recently, mainly because I think it has to do with desmond seeing new little charlie in a flash. Don't want to spoil it for those of you who haven't caught up yet, but some of you might know what I'm talking about.
@levkosenko Because Desmond told him that in order to save Claire and get her off the island he would have to die.

I still cant figure out why he could just step out and lock the door from the other side.It would take exactly 2 more seconds.

This was the best one. I was always voting for it. I miss Charlie. Desmond was clearly lying to him.

maybe Jacob or the island or whatever caused him to have the visions created a false flash because they just wanted Charlie dead
