  • now thats a big fucking accident! glad he was ok.

-- Marc Genné have much funny in that accident.. So, He hasn´t had nothing...

  • Being a Dane i of course hope Tom Kristensen will get victory nr. 9... But actually i hope that Vileneauve's Peugeot is going to win, Because then he will get that famous hattrick: Le Mans 24 hours, the F1 world championship and the Indy 500. I think that that would the greatest honour he could show his late father...

  • i thought it was win lemans win indy 500 win monaco GP not the championship?

  • It used to be that way, but when Graham Hill got the championship also, then they changed it, because there where "nothing special" about just the Monaco win.

I think it's also because Monaco produces unlikely winners, sometimes even first-timers...

  • Too bad that Peugeot couldn't win the 24 Le Mans this year... and yet Audi got it again and again. Let's hope for the next year Pug!

    Riccardo

  • it's done now! ;-)

  • Lucky man... very lucky that didn't end with him losing his life...

They need to sort something out with these LMP cars... they go sideways and just take off once the air gets under them. Not sure how they would fix it, but at least its not as bad as it was in the late 90's with the cars flipping end over end.

  • This place on the track is also known to be the most dangerous part of the track, with a solid concrete barrier just meters from the track...

  • Cameraman was sleeping or what??

  • its a CCTV camera from the circuit. So, the chances of a person seeing the accident within seconds is quite small.

  • sleeping... lol

  • this crash was filmed by a security camera, that's why the reaction is so slow.

  • i think it needs just a tough more downforce.. lol

  • someone is gonna die very soon if they dont change the cars project in LMP category

  • The Yokohama-shod Lola B07/40 Mazda of B-K Motorsports first hit the wall with Ben Devlin driving at Sebring in 08. Creation Autosportif's Creation CA07 AIM did not flip while sideways in the 1,000 km of Monza.

  • not realy rushing to get him out am they

  • francesi ....vi diamo na'mazzata a sto europeo

  • and you, who are you ? you have no any vehicule on this race ! so, where is "de merda" ? muahahahaha ^^

  • you are the merda and your slutty sister...

  • He's spanish -_-

  • lol

  • it was mark gene

  • only slightly better than a typical Air France landing :-p

  • now its a open-weeler

  • Serves him right for speedin' :)

  • For those who don't understand French, this was picked by one of the many security cameras, these can be remote controlled by track supervisors, that's why you see it panning, searching for the car and zoom. There is no tv coverage during testing day (it takes place 2 weeks before actual 24 Hours race).

  • whoa he's gonna feel that in the morning

  • You can see him trying to get out of the car you idiots! DEAD? What are you smoking??

  • No injuries beside a bruised elbow and a hairline fracture of the toe.

  • he is alive...and he is one of the best

  • sure he is the best.......

  • is he okay? ö

  • he was marc gene

  • that definitely beats any roller coaster ride

  • Gene has always been shit

  • Cameraman feets up on the desk, eating crisp:

    - "Who put this mess on the camera!! Let me find the sucker"

    ...manipulating the camera...

    - "Oh shit, I found him!"

  • Another case of driving too high when you are fast...

  • i lol'd

  • IS NOT BEUTIFEUL !!!!!!!

  • i godt nok dygtige peugeot.

  • Marc Gené (Spanish pilot, also Ferrari F1 Tester) was the driver. You may say it in the description. He's still at the hospital recovering

  • I'm really starting to question the ACOs rules on the LMP chassis as this is the third time we've seen a prototype go flying just by going sideways.

  • Then again there's really nothing special about the regs this year... compared to previous years with no "airbornes". Higher competition, more risk, cars slightly faster etc.

After Monza Daniel Poissenot (ACO guy) was not worried at all. But that was before this crash.

And this is still pretty far from the flipping shunts in 98-99... all of these have happened when the car has been sideways. I don't think theres much they can do that, other than starting to take more advance of ground effects?

  • True, but the fact that they can go airbourne just by going sideways is not a very confortable thought. At least those cars just had it happen by poor aerodynamics(The Mercedes) and drafting up behind someone(BMW and Porsche). Also, there's actually been four as at sebring the Mazda Lola also had this happen during Qualifying. This just worries me and I'm nopt eve driving these cars.

  • Yeah, true.

  • about heavens profile sucks

  • Jaaa since well chistosoe the video good jo wing you see this one half ugly xD

    att iooo //;

  • vaya viaje

menos mal que no le pasó nada

    ánimo marc!!!

  • Et ben chaud devant..

  • ah ah

  • si señor

  • Big luck for Gene that he got out unhurt. Hope this does not effect Peugeots plans for the race. Looking forward to an interesting battle with the Audis!

  • Toma ostia mu rica claro que si

  • la caméra a eu chaud aux fesses

  • vaya toña

  • Hallucinant !

  • Wow. Hope this doesn't change any sanctions.

  • That was a big crash.. It looks like he went off the track before he got air born. Is it Porsche curves?

  • Yes, it is.

  • Gene is OK...he´ll drive in a few weeks the Number 7 908 in Qualifying for the 24 Hours of LeMans of 2008.

As It was said...the Pugs are not joking in this Test...4 seconds faster than last year Pole...

  • OMFG

  • That was a huge shunt! Thank goodness Gene wasn't seriously injured!

  • In this LMS/LM Season LMP cars have definitly the tendency to lift... :´(

  • Holy Cow! Thank goodness Marc Gene is OK!!
