i am always amazed by these old guns. mosin, mauser, sks. all built on rudimentery macinery at least 50+ years ago depending on what one i am mentioning. were sitting in bunkers or used on the battlefield for years before being sold here in the united states or other contries. and all work flawlessly today. when they built stuff back then they built it to last.

Either completely stop using laquered ammo in that Nagant, or get steel cased, laquered ammo that isn't shit. Your best bet would be to get quality ammunition for it. Don't buy the shit that was meant to kill our GIs, it's shit. Get ammo made by Remington, Hornady, Winchester, et cetera. The cheap stuff wasn't made for performance - it was simply made to be effective to kill, and to last until it was needed. The laquer could easily be why your bolt sticks. Could be your head space is tight, too.

come on dude, take apart the bolt, lubricate it like crap, take some steel wool and scrape anything the bolt touches on the forward part of the gun then clean it with good hops and you wont have to freakin bang the bolt like that, it hurts me to even see people do that.
