for a school dance that we thought was hollywood themed, my mom wanted me to wear a black dress that look liked her Givenchy, wear pearls and have my hair up and have a long black stick like a cigar...
I'm 13 years old so Audrey died before I was born, but I still love her and roman holiday is my favorite movie! I wish she was still alive today! ( my friends make fun of me because they all like modern, cheap, trashy actors who take drugs, I think Audrey was waaaaay classier!)
Audrey Hepburn makes all the 'stars' of today look so shallow and cheap. She had such unbelievable grace, kindness, and courage. That slow smile lights up her whole face, and you can see the beauty in her soul shining out. Incomparable, beautiful Audrey!
As much as I like Bette Davis Joan Crawford Elizabeth Barbara Stanwyck Katharine Hepburn etc. outta many of the Classical Hollywood actresses Audrey Hepburn had the least or no ego at all she was BEAUTIFUL externally & internally
the most BEAUTIFUL FACE & SOUL ever 2 grace the silver screen & 2 walk God's green earth
no 1 2day can live up 2 her standards bar-none the 1 & only
It seems odd that she would be asked about her experiences during World War II in a setting like this, but probably the intent was to get her to show some sadness or thoughtfulness, and to see how those emotions were expressed by her.
Yeah on that famous picture it could as well be Portman; anyhow, she doesn't look quite herself on that photo. I think she beats Portman. Her eyes and smile are to die for.
My Dad has told me numerous times that if you want to see a woman with elegance, class and true beauty, you should look at Audrey Hepburn. And how right he is. She is my favourite actress, regardless of whether she is deceased or not (rest in peace.) To me, she is the best thing that ever happened to Hollywood! I love you Audrey Hepburn!
I cannot believe they are remaking My Fair Lady . Wtf Leave the classic alone Hollywood , come up with some orginal ideas .
Emma calling Audrey "Twee" from the woman who made Nanny McFee . Let me say I'm from a working class back ground and I love motion pictures , no one where I'm form thinks Audrey was untalented .
Snobs like Thompson & Critics who Slam Audrey Have no love of motion picture history or even have any idea what it means to fans young & old .
@MissLoveSoup That is absolutely right, Emma Thompson is a wonderful actress, but her comments are quite misplaced. Commenting in this time and age about actresses that are mumsy? Bit rich don't you reckon
@MaraeLovesTV - never seen harry potter. not really my bag, but whatever. i actually googled her comments after i watched this, and i can't ENTIRELY disagree. i don't think audrey was known for her mind-blowing acting skills. but no one before her or after her has the same grace, charisma, and just flat out on-screen captivity as audrey. and hey, look at that smile a 1:05. woooooo who the hell does emma thompson think she is anyway?
@augustloel1 jealous old biddy- Not only was she full of a God Given physical beauty, but she was talented, delightful, dignified and gave a lot of her life for others, helping childing in very abject impoverished nations.
God Bless this wonderful human being--May she rest in Peace
OF COURSE SHES BETTER THAN MARILYN! lol she was a natural beauty with class! she always said that she could be more sexy without taking her clothes off! class, natural beauty and intelligence! she embraced herself, marilyn might have been smart underneath the dumb hot blonde stereotype, but her charm and total image was always manufactured and seeemed so fake, no wonder she was unhappy with her life in the end. Audrey cared more about being a good person and a respected actress.
at least we...simple mortals..have this films, her films..to see real class, glamour, courage, elegance, and a women out of any possible classification. I , personally, found no words to classify her...but every time I see Audrey, in a film or documental..my soul is full of joy. No kidding. carlos

@BlueJeanBaby012 These were the days when a movie was a gift to the audience. Nowadays it is an exercise in narcissism, self-absorption, and mindless star-tripping.
It was an interview - no script. Having said that the producer who interviewed her was deliberately trying to coax emotional reactions from her. I'd find it hard to explain his reasons for doing this except to say that there was once a belief that an artist or performer would be better able to play a part if they had some emotional depths to plow when acting. This idea would be as alien to modern day Hollywood as the code duello is to contemporary warfare.
Great actress, one of the most beautiful women that has ever lived, collected money for the underground, under the nazi's noses(which if caught she would have been shot).Became an advocate for children later in life, and DID IT ALL WITH CLASS AND MODESTY! If only hollywood followed her example today!
You can see how truthful and real she is.Her expressions show how painful the war was to her. She went through a lot in her life and certainly earned her wings for sure.
