  • that outfit is glorious

  • An angel is talking...

  • for a school dance that we thought was hollywood themed, my mom wanted me to wear a black dress that look liked her Givenchy, wear pearls and have my hair up and have a long black stick like a cigar...

    O.O that would've been awesome...

  • beautiful hair!!

  • Emma Thompson is a jealous liar.

  • Yes, Debby Ryan brought me here. Cool, okay? COOL! Big Deal.

  • What a great accent! I want one!

  • Debby sent me hea.

  • Thumbs up is DEBBY RYAN BOUGHT U HERE!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thumbs up if Debby Ryan brought you here!!!

  • @christianfilmer1500 what did she do to attract viewers?

  • natalie portman resembles her a lil,

  • @iQWESTKIDZ actually quite a bit IMO.

  • LOL SHE'S SO CUTE! :D

  • she has such a beautiful accent, when i think about how people talk today i makes me feel sick :(

  • I'm 13 years old so Audrey died before I was born, but I still love her and roman holiday is my favorite movie! I wish she was still alive today! ( my friends make fun of me because they all like modern, cheap, trashy actors who take drugs, I think Audrey was waaaaay classier!)

  • I just noticed that Natalie Portman looks a TON like Audrey.

  • 1:06 - I have no words.

Audrey Hepburn makes all the 'stars' of today look so shallow and cheap. She had such unbelievable grace, kindness, and courage. That slow smile lights up her whole face, and you can see the beauty in her soul shining out. Incomparable, beautiful Audrey!

  • Do you think she even had a clue of just what she had?

  • her waist is about as thick as my thigh.

    she is charming looking

  • Screen-test? They needed a screen-test? I'd take one look at her face and would turn into goo.

  • audrey hepburn is a little petite but still fiiine

  • She has small bones, thats why she's so healthy looking even when she's so tiny thin. She's just built small that way.

  • Geeshe! What's her waistline? Like 15? I've never seen a girl so healthy looking with such a tiny waist.

  • Her voice <3

  • Beautiful!

  • Not only class, but honesty she possessed.

  • 1:31 oh my God, I'm dying. She is so beautiful!

  • Two people have no idea of what the word class means.

  • That Smile!!!!! Always kills me!

  • I've always found her eyes to be exceptionally beautiful!

  • Finito es perfect!!

  • @GuardaGuada

Lol it could be Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, Rachel Weisz, etc look like her.

But of course she's freaking' Hepburn so no one can match up to her!

  • natalie portman sort of looks like her, in the eyes and eyebrows, a bit.

  • @GuardaGuada I was thinking the same thing.

  • She is really an amazing woman!

I've been to Arnhem yay. :)

  • Her smile cured my depression.

  • Wow, she was always just so amazing elegant and well-spoken. Think of going on your very first screen test and keeping such poise.

  • It seems odd that she would be asked about her experiences during World War II in a setting like this, but probably the intent was to get her to show some sadness or thoughtfulness, and to see how those emotions were expressed by her.

  • I wish people today were like her.

  • Maybe the class and poise of Hollywood will come back one day. We can only hope for the best.

But to Audrey, though: what a dear charmer :)

  • What a beautiful woman and she had class!!!

  • What a beautiful woman and she had class!!!

  • My all time favorite Audrey video

  • Audrey Hepburn was pure class. Beautiful, humble, kind, and beyond charming. Watching this clip, one can see her universal appeal. Wonderful smile.

  • for most of this charming screen test Ms Hepburn assumed the camera was off. They had told her the cameras were off.

  • Just take a look at this one woman!!!! This is what pure class is all about. You only have to look at Audrey.

  • Yeah on that famous picture it could as well be Portman; anyhow, she doesn't look quite herself on that photo. I think she beats Portman. Her eyes and smile are to die for.

  • aw, she looks just like natalie portman. beautiful

  • Hollywood is a joke now most of them are fake and manufactured into 'stars'. It seems that you don't need talent these days :(

  • My Dad has told me numerous times that if you want to see a woman with elegance, class and true beauty, you should look at Audrey Hepburn. And how right he is. She is my favourite actress, regardless of whether she is deceased or not (rest in peace.) To me, she is the best thing that ever happened to Hollywood! I love you Audrey Hepburn!

  • God she's beautiful-and a lovely, caring person too. How could you NOT be in love with her?!

  • That Waist!!!!! Love her xxx

  • 1:07 ahhh so beautiful <3 I love her.

  • She is so beautifu!! and pure!

Do we have a kaind of acctress now??

I miss her very much and this is golden era to Holiwood I think.

  • she's stunning!

  • Hepburn spent her childhood chiefly in the Netherlands, including German-occupied Arnhem, Netherlands, during the Second World War

  • watching her,i just cant understand how certain ppl can find it in them to hate her

  • @koyukisakura no one hates Audrey, so you don't have to try to understand anything ;)

  • nothing she does can be learned. this screen test proves it.

  • See you in Paradice Audrey.

We will all be together again, Mines a Pimms & then a Swim again.

    RIP T

  • how pretty!!!! her short hair

  • Man, I can watch her all day though she was gone a long time ago...

  • It's dark isn't it..

  • Sweet. can i go now please?

  • Emma Thompson is a total beast-she couldn`t recognize talent it it bit her in the ass.

How dare she claim Audrey has no talent.- can I have an AMEN?

  • @augustloel1 Amen .

I cannot believe they are remaking My Fair Lady . Wtf Leave the classic alone Hollywood , come up with some orginal ideas .

Emma calling Audrey "Twee" from the woman who made Nanny McFee . Let me say I'm from a working class back ground and I love motion pictures , no one where I'm form thinks Audrey was untalented .

Snobs like Thompson & Critics who Slam Audrey Have no love of motion picture history or even have any idea what it means to fans young & old .

  • @MissLoveSoup That is absolutely right, Emma Thompson is a wonderful actress, but her comments are quite misplaced. Commenting in this time and age about actresses that are mumsy? Bit rich don't you reckon

  • @mcsamab Here , here .

  • I don't recall ever seeing an Emma Thompson movie.

  • @augustloel1 - who the fuck is emma thomspon???

  • @ToriiHunterFan if you watched harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban, she's professer trelawny.

  • @MaraeLovesTV - never seen harry potter. not really my bag, but whatever. i actually googled her comments after i watched this, and i can't ENTIRELY disagree. i don't think audrey was known for her mind-blowing acting skills. but no one before her or after her has the same grace, charisma, and just flat out on-screen captivity as audrey. and hey, look at that smile a 1:05. woooooo who the hell does emma thompson think she is anyway?

  • @augustloel1 What she said was stupid, but Emma Thompson is a great actress in her own right.

  • @augustloel1 Who is Emma Thompson?

  • @augustloel1 jealous old biddy- Not only was she full of a God Given physical beauty, but she was talented, delightful, dignified and gave a lot of her life for others, helping childing in very abject impoverished nations.

God Bless this wonderful human being--May she rest in Peace

  • @augustloel1 I'll reply to you by saying: Audrey is an icon, a legend, an inspiration......who the hell is Emma Thomas....Emma Smith....Emma what???

  • sweetest smile!!!

and her voice is so.... i don't know how to describe, soothing, amazing....

  • she is just a good example to women with such class, beauty, grace and innocence i just love her!

  • Audrey is perfection!!!!!

  • her smile alone is jaw dropping

  • Absolutely beautiful.

  • I find it amazing that no matter how bad i feel whenever i see her on screen i feel better. She brightens my day. I just adore her.

  • Natalie Portman would play a perfect Audrey Hepburn....just sayin'

  • her voice is so, so beautiful

  • "Well, what about the Germans? What did they do about it?"

    "They didn't know about it."

I love her smile here <3

  • @brainlesspsycho <3 me too! love her so <3 :))

  • I'm about to go get a tattoo of Audrey in a couple of hours, and just had to watch this remind myself why I'm doing it. It's cause she's perfect.

  • she takes my heart away

  • @kess721 yes, in a good way :(

  • Audrey is so wonderful and beautiful !!!

  • She had the most wonderful smile of any movie actress ever.

  • She had the most wonderful smile of any movie actress ever

  • how did u get this?

  • OF COURSE SHES BETTER THAN MARILYN! lol she was a natural beauty with class! she always said that she could be more sexy without taking her clothes off! class, natural beauty and intelligence! she embraced herself, marilyn might have been smart underneath the dumb hot blonde stereotype, but her charm and total image was always manufactured and seeemed so fake, no wonder she was unhappy with her life in the end. Audrey cared more about being a good person and a respected actress.

  • The most beautiful woman that ever lived. Her spirit was amazing. Her work as an actress and a philanthropist was amazing. She was soo amazing!

  • @FoxxiDork I Agree! She Was Just Fabulous !!

  • @FoxxiDork She was so cute!

  • She's got class, beauty, AND style.

  • that is definately the best and cutest smile ever!!

  • 1:07 best smile EVER!!

  • at least we...simple mortals..have this films, her films..to see real class, glamour, courage, elegance, and a women out of any possible classification. I , personally, found no words to classify her...but every time I see Audrey, in a film or documental..my soul is full of joy. No kidding. carlos

  • CLASS. That was.

  • This IS part of the original screen test, given by an English director working off written instructions from the American director William Wyler, who had met Hepburn very briefly -- for five minutes. He instructed the Englishman, Thorold Dickerson, that after the formal part of the test in costume and make-up, Hepburn should change into her own clothes and be informally interviewed about her own life. She was not to know the camera was still running; and she didn't. You see her career starting.

  • And the idea behind this interview was to get Hepburn more comfortable and relaxed because until then she had only done stage work was was really uncomfortable in front of the cameras- as soon as they told her the cameras were off though her personality and charm came out completely just as they thought it would. Just a fun fact i read in a biography that i figured i'd share!

  • Great, thanks.

But it's not the screen test, it's a interview about ww2 from the set and clips from the Costume tests.

  • Absolutely breathtaking........

  • i just watched this last nite..it was great..

  • Dear Hollywood Trash of Today: Watch videos of Audrey and LEARN to have some class.

    Such class and poise.

  • So true, so true.

  • To BlueJeanBaby012:

If I could give you a million thumbs up, I would!

    I strongly agree with you!

  • @BlueJeanBaby012 you make the greatest point possibly ever

  • @BlueJeanBaby012 These were the days when a movie was a gift to the audience. Nowadays it is an exercise in narcissism, self-absorption, and mindless star-tripping.

  • @BlueJeanBaby012 unfortunately nobody wants to pay to see a classy woman or man. :( it's not the actors fault it's what society has become.

  • @Nikolaika77 so sad but true. : ( but still ...they could learn something from her. You make an excellent point though. xD

  • @BlueJeanBaby012 that would require some real education - the sort the old country alone can give you.

  • i love the beginning when she walks over & sits down. She's so laid-back and serene.

  • what if there was a reincarnation of her?

  • is this the part of the interview .. where she didint know they were still filming her??

  • 1.06 u could just die!!!

  • @ClassicMovieClub and what about 1m16 !

  • @ClassicMovieClub ya. wish i was born around that time. she's an evergreen beauty. Greetings from India!!!

  • @ClassicMovieClub

    YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES that´s true!

She was an angel on earth and NOW she is an angel in heaven!

    R.I.P. Dear Audrey

  • @ClassicMovieClub

That could have been Wynona Wilder.

  • was this part of hte script, or is it a real interview.. they do this for screen tests still?

  • Nope, it's a real interview.

  • It was an interview - no script. Having said that the producer who interviewed her was deliberately trying to coax emotional reactions from her. I'd find it hard to explain his reasons for doing this except to say that there was once a belief that an artist or performer would be better able to play a part if they had some emotional depths to plow when acting. This idea would be as alien to modern day Hollywood as the code duello is to contemporary warfare.

  • The absolute epitome of the phrase "lighting up the screen".

  • Great actress, one of the most beautiful women that has ever lived, collected money for the underground, under the nazi's noses(which if caught she would have been shot).Became an advocate for children later in life, and DID IT ALL WITH CLASS AND MODESTY! If only hollywood followed her example today!

    )

  • what does she say after the...collect the money for underground..?

  • It always need money. Then the man asked about the Germans. Then she says whats to know about it.

  • thats not what she said.

  • Do you know what she said? I was wondring the same as edya2007:) Thanks

  • INTERVIEWER: what about the Germans, what did they do about it?

AUDREY: they didnt know about it. (smiles)

  • INTERVIEWER: what about the Germans, what did they do about it?

AUDREY: they didnt know about it. (smiles)

  • for the UNDERGROUND?! she is amAHzing!

  • She's so cute! I love her smile when she's asked about the Germans.

  • GOOD GOD!!

    HER WAIST IS TINY!!!

  • You can see how truthful and real she is.Her expressions show how painful the war was to her. She went through a lot in her life and certainly earned her wings for sure.

  • Wowowow. Thank you!

  • Her facial expressions say it all, from her crestfallen look when asked about the war to her beaming smile when she admits she raised money for the resistance behind the backs of the Germans.

A true beauty, inside and out. There will never be another Audrey Hepburn.

  • I've never seen this O_O thanks for post!

  • ahhh!! ive been wanting to see this for a while now... she was so great... and a fashionista :)
