i need to know what exactly lens is it, ive been searching it but i got a lot of different lenses that are nikon 50mm 1.4........i dont know which is the one you used....can you tell me the exact, when i look for it it appears the ''Nikon 50 mm 1.4 af, Nikon 50 mm 1.4d, Nikon 50 mm 1.4g, Nikon 50 mm 1.4 af-s.........which one do i have to buy?????? help me please!!
hope your doing fine , well a very simple question.
could you just tell me the export settings you used to export kungfused , coz no matter whati do , i just lose my HD quality on adobe premiere pro.....
@beteltree I can't remember the brand off the top of my head but I did get it from ebay for under $20 bucks each. They work perfect. I don't see how people can pay for them adapters in the hundreds of dollars. that fit perfect and was secure. Heck I had a hard time getting them off my Canon.
@OusaKhun Good to know that Nikon-Canon EOS adapters are so cheap. I am using adapters for the Mamiya/Sekor M42 MF 55mm f/1.8 and Canon FD MF 50mm f/1.8 lenses and they are wonderful but I can see that my collection is not complete without a Nikon 50mm f/1.4!
oh man this is amazing. im borrowing this camera for my short film. im so excited. you only used a 50mm lense eh? it looks amazing! im so checking out your other vids now.
Haha I really liked this, Good job! I own the same camera and have been doing more photography with it than video. This inspires me to make more film!
@skatemontages this, the D3100 is a great camera but for entry level users...... and the continuous foucus in video mode on the D3100 isnt worth anything anyways. This Camera is Better all around compared to anything at a lower price
I'm seriously considering either this camera or the Nikon D3100 about to come out. What frame rate (frames per second) and resolution did you guys shoot at?
@thestagee check out the d7000 if your considering a nikon, its a bit more expensive but the quality if wayyy better. If thats too expensive go with the t2i, I seen footage of the d3100 and i personally think the t2i looks better
@thesir27 The T2i has it's limitations but if you can work around it, it's a neat little camera. If you have no budget and want a "film" quality look, this camera kicks ass. For its price no one should complain.
@thesir27 Late reply I know, but I've read that you are actually better off using 8 gb sticks over 16 gb sticks with the T2i, I have only used 8 gb ones but I've heard that you can have a lot more issues with larger cards and since you can only record for about 20 minutes at a time with the T2i anyway, you rarely need more than an 8 gb card in your camera. I just bought like six 8 gb cards.
@thesir27 I just bought this camera because of this and a couple other videos, I've had it for a few months and I am really happy with it. Shooting video is pretty simple but obviously more complex than a regular video camera. Plus theres some great youtube tutorials on how to set up your T2i or shooting video, I have a video that I took with my T2i, stock lense, just did some point and shoot, no tripod or anything, check it out.
hey that is some nice recording, i want make vids that look like movies (school or personal proyects) like this one, so what programs do you recomend me to use? i have both mac and windows
Hey, I just got this DSLR and we i set the video size to 1920x1080 it keeps on stopping the recording automatically :( can you please help.....Thanks :D
seriously I can't tell you how much I laughed at this video, I've been watching test footage from the 7D and T2i for the past two days and this is the only clip that was funny at all, best part was I thought it was going to be the typical super serious student film where they spend their entire budget on fake blood and guns. Not to mention it takes a lot usually to make me laugh, this shit had me rolling.
lol @ this video, so the video quality seems just as good as my 7D which I bought a couple days ago, since i really just got the 7D for shooting video, should I return the 7D and pick up a T2i 550D? Seems like I would be saving myself a lot of money
No shotgun mic. Audio is bad cause its from the camera. We were more focused on the visual side of this camera test. Next one we'll put some production value to it and use a boom mic. Thanks for watching.

@OusaKhun how much memory does video footage take up, what size memory card do you use?

@thesir27 I have a 16 gig card. You should be ok with 8 gigs. Just make sure you have a place to dump your footage.

@pavobank I used CS4 to edit this scene. Final Cut Pro on the mac laggs with this codec. Both are great, you work with what you're comfortable with.

Not sure what your problem maybe. Could be the SD card you using. Go to dvxuser.com and find the T2i forum. They might be able to help you there.

Did you have to convert your footage at all before you edited it? Or did it go straight into Premiere?

No just edited straight into premiere CS4. To avoid the rolling shutter we used a tripod and didn't do any crazy pans.
