  • that is a REALLY close eject

  • 1:06 he rips made ass!

  • looks like he had a flame out at the top of his climb.

  • you break it, you buy it!

  • Option 1: Stay with the airplane and ride it in to glory. Option 2: Bail out and try to explain to the flight leader why I fucked up SO bad......................Option 3: Blame it on hydraulics failure.

  • that victory roll was a FAIL

  • everybody makes mistakes,i don't think any of the crew should lose his career, they will learn from it

also the u.s presidential elections waste more money than what a jet costs

  • I don't mean to be insensitive, but cool explosion

  • last second,

    really cool guy

  • top gun

  • Just a few millions of dollars thrown to the trash. Well done pilot :D

  • fail...

  • man.. if i were in that plane i didnt ejected on that time i would forgot... wow

  • ah, our tax dollars at work.

  • doest the pilot go to cout after crashing a million dollor jet?

  • @xm154609 might, but i dont think so:S exidents happen.

  • Lucky guy!

  • dum pilot lol

  • he set his altimeter wrong theres been a lot of discussion about this

  • he was going to fast in the loop

  • good job

  • Lawn darts flown by suck ups

  • brilliant video! any chance i could use it for a short film i'm making?? cheers

  • once they eject like that, the g-force and actually compact their spine that much they can lose an inch in thier overall hight, and never fly again!

  • thats not true. i know some one who has had to eject from a hornet and they didnt lose any height. they are still flying

  • @mickadee87

To my knowledge (from my days on the mechanicer school) my teacher tould me that a pilot could eject several times, but do to the huge stress on the spine, the pilot need a medical check every time he does it (if he does it). Being grounded depends on how well his body can resist the compretion of the ejection.

  • Okay! i get it ....it was expensive stop complaining you don't have to go to every damn video about a jet crashing and point out and say "well it was 30 million dollars and it all went down the drain!" der der der we get it jets are alot of money shit happens!

  • It is amazing that he was able to punch out just feet above the field. But I still wonder if Glenn Beck raped and murdered a young girl in 1990.

  • @iamazdavids

    who is glenn beck

  • an asshole.

  • You guys do know how much these pilots train to fly these amazing types of aircrafts.

  • obviously not enough?

  • i don't see why it should of ended his carrer,i know jets are expensive but surely he would of learnt from that, unless he damaged his back or something,he would of been a better pilot after going through all that

  • cool

  • epic fail

  • lmfao

  • Being a crew chief on this jet has nothing to do with the pilot not resetting his Altimeter... If that, Avionics personnel would have been the ones to get shifty-eyed at mostly. Especially since they're the ones that has to deal with that system.

  • I hope that wasn't Danny's jet, he was crewchief for the Thunderbirds a while back. If anyone reads this that flies with Thunderbirds you'll know who I'm talking about. LOL. Wish the best for all that is in the armed forces and especially the Thunderbirds.

  • how "YOU" made the view in Cockpit??

  • With a video camera ?

  • sure hes the pilot and got also the material of the view from outside... youre crazy? HE DID NOT did this vid.

  • benyo shut up

  • My god, being a f15 crew chief for 4 years i can say what a terrible waste of 25 million dollrs and I feel sorry for the maintainer on that jet, the pilot lived which is grea however he takes that risk to fly, but all those maintaners are fucked unless they can prove its pilot error which in case the pilot loses his career and dream job. I hate seeing crashes like that unless its due to combat where its no ones fault but war

  • @eLpeach This was pilot error, nothing wrong with the plane. He forgot to set his altimeter to this airport altitude. He is flying a desk in the pentagon, or was. He might be out of the A.F. now.

  • lost the jet engine thrust

  • That wasn't why it crashed. There was an error in the alt of the ground above sea level. They had it as about 100 feet lower then it was. Had they not had this error, the pilot would have flown higher before commencing the roll and then the loop.

  • i love seeing that long stretch of fire blowing up...so cool

  • that had to BE SO SCARY

  • Living the Pilot????

  • ejected, hes fine.

  • learning the speek?

  • A Thunderbird? wow.. thats scary to see when they have Alot of training to fly

  • this crash could have been easily avoided the pilot was concentrated enough.

at 0:21 he realizes something's off because he doesnt continue the loop for a moment but ignores the problem instead of starting over.

  • what makes you think that means something is wrong there is nothing that proves thats a problem. if there was he isnt dumb enough to keep doing the loop

  • wats this song

  • It's Hysteria by Def Leopard

  • Whoopsie?

  • The pilot must suck, if he cant make that move in an F-16 lol

  • you can... on higher altitude

  • that and speed. he was going way too fast to pull out of it. luckily he realized that and punched out just in time.

  • I dont really get the music....how bout some pantera or something like that. Or maybe milly vanilly? Ha! Cool shit though. Good vid

  • I heard he just wanted to Test the ejaculation seat!

  • Thanx 4 the laugh SUF. He got's Cocky all right. Yea boyee...

  • well actually it was only his 9th crash, and the only reason he did crash was because he had an attitude problem at the airport. He thought that he had enough of an attitude problem and was 200 meters short. After this crash they introduced him to their daughter.

  • damn thats bad. i guess he got too cocky in the plane.

  • lmao

  • DEF LEPPARD

  • lucky mother fucker lol!

  • DAMMIT- My hard earned tax dollars helped pay for that jet!

  • Great Choice of song! Def Leppard are amazing, they should make a comeback.

  • thats y females should not fly fighter jets.

  • The pilot isn't female. You see boobs anywhere? I don't.

And this is why men should not speak.

  • Strange choice of song for this.

  • go upside down and eject XD

  • he planned it..lol

  • I bet he didn't get paid as much after that crash as he did before.

  • actually he got kicked from the thunderbirds team

  • Not surprising - considering his clear lack of piloting skills, and tendency to stuff up the numbers.

  • well actually it was only his first crash, and the only reason he did crash was because he had the altitude of the wrong airport. The airprt he was at was something like 200 meters higher above the other airport he had set his controls to. So he thought that he had enough altitude over the ground when actually he was 200 meters short. After this crash they introduced a new ceiling which i think is now 3000 feet?

  • Thanks.

  • What song is this?

  • Hysteria--Def leppard

  • do u people think he lived???

  • yeah I saw him eject

  • yeah I saw himeject

  • you think this crash is cool check out this one.

worlds most amazing videos - street biker

  • he is now A JANITOR

  • I bet at 1:06 he's thinking Oh shit!

  • he did eject but he was damn close to the ground already would he survive that?

  • kl .

  • Out of touch,,, Out of reach here ,,, SURPRISEDDDDDD

  • oooooooohhhhhhhhh snap

  • what happened with the cars ??? see 1:12 ???

  • music is the best in this film:P:P

  • the pilot here didn't calibrate his altimeter correctly, and didn't add the 1000 feet necessary for this maneuver. he was fired :)

  • 35 million later... expensive mistake!

  • Actually.... 28.5 Million. Depending on the Avionics package and Engine...

  • kewl pic at the end of it

  • kewl!

  • dumbasses he stalled when he was looping it was on discovery channel

  • hahahahahahahahahahha!

  • what ever.

  • wow and ur a real asshole u never know mabye there were technical issues

  • Everyone seems to think this guy is a pretty slick pilot; nobody is metioning the fact that he forgot to adjust his altimeter for the airbase of this airshow, which is what caused the crash in the first place.

  • that pilots got skills: ejected .8 secs. before plane and ground collided

  • what the fuck!!! if he had any skill he wouldnt have hit the ground!! hes a fuckin idiot!!!

  • ur the idiot retard. his altimeter was set wrong: not skill related. you would've done a heck of a lot worse

  • talkin about munkfish there

  • youre right mate, i wouldnt have done any better as im not a trained pilot but he was!! when you get in a jet you do a pre-flight & in that you set the altimeter for the strip youre flying from, he didnt do that.

  • That guys awesome

  • For those who are saying F22 is better...maybe but the pilots in the F16's are better : )

  • i agree 110%

  • ive seen this on TV he knows tht he fucked it up so he steers it away from the crowd and ejects

  • Why do appreciate seeing people crash and almost die? We just post things on the internet and ignore the fact that the people being injured are ACTUALLY real people! This is sickening

  • yeah ... we are alll bastards ... including you ;)

  • lol...good one : )

  • wow, that gave me goose bumps!

  • he ejected from the f-16 at the last second.

  • this wouldn't happen with an F22

  • depends on the pilot.and ur partly right f-22 uses thrust vector so he probably wouldnt of hit the ground if he was in a f-22.

  • the F-22 is da bomb dude!

  • Gotta admit, it would be funny to see one of those crashing though.

See your tax money go to work.

  • dude...i would cry

  • YOu played Hysteria on a fucking jet plane crash video. WHat the hell is that shit...

  • if you look closely, when he rolls over you can see his jet engine catch fire and stop.

  • I was there in mt.home that day watching him crash i live in boise idaho. They took forever to take off, is what i remembered but then finally they got the jets in the air and bam. one goes down next thing i know i feel a gust of air. the men on the announcements telling us any videos that recorded this event would have to give the tape for military purposes. I was aout 12 years old. rough shit rough shit.

  • And what year did this happen in?

  • How did that happen?

  • It was determined the pilot made an error in setting his altimeter before the show, he set his altimeter to ASL (above sea level) instead of AGL (above ground level) the mistake made him think he was actually 1,000 feet higher than he really was and was therefore unable to pull out of the loop, just before the ejection you can see him roll the jet to the left to steer it away from people and equipment on the ground, nerves of steel! he was relieved of duty as a Thunderbird and now flys a desk

  • The USAF uses rocket-powered ejection seats so powerful you can literally sit on the ground and eject safely. They shoot you clear of the aircraft 300 feet in a quarter of a second. They were developed because we were losing so many pilots to low level ejections during the early part of the Vietnam war.

  • pity you are hospitalized for months afterwards as your body is stretched and all your internal organs are ruptured.

  • good reflexes on the ejection, but I can't tell whether it was pilot error or a mecanical failure, does anyone know more about why the plane crashed?

  • Pilot error m8 high speed stall. :)

  • Oh, thanks

  • where was this?

if I'm not wrong, just red it from Reader's Digest

  • Like the in vedeo! the pilot wasnt even scared!

  • Wow, he almost made it!! this despite having come up 300 ft short to start off with! And its amazing that he was able to get out of there just in the nick of time. Hats off to the fighting falcon jet pilots of the US.

  • he must eject at higher altitude

  • he must get more high like altitude 1000

  • boom :)

  • insurence fraud

  • This was not pilot error. The engine flamed out. Only so much or little room to try to recover.

  • Yeah actually - it was pilot error. This has been on TV & is posted on YouTube multiple places. See my YouTube page in my favorites & you'll see I "favorited" a video that gives all the technical details on this crash.

  • IM SAYING HAHAHAHAHA AT THE GUY WHO SAID EJACULATION INSTED OF EJECTION, bloody hell whats wrong with people these days

  • yes he ejected .8 seconds befor collision

  • is the pilot still alive ?

  • Yes

  • wow, i remember that... 03, mountain home, i have that on my recorder... i was front row and you could feel the heat of that crash.. time was like slow-mo... it was intense and yea, pilot error but dang he's still a damn good pilot...

  • what was that in 00:17, the flames...?

  • Glare, the crash was pilot error. He forgot to set the altimeter.

  • If You have one or more minus evaluations for Your statement...let me tell You something...You attacked a Thunderbird...the best pilots of the USAF....if You say bad things about such a guy...is like pissing against the Lincoln Memorial...so dont do that...americans dont tolerate statements against their Thunderbirds....one exception...you may talk bad about the Thunderbirds when You are a Blue Angel...but thats a different story...so watch Your words...Big Brother is watching You :o)

  • do research. he miscalculated the altitude needed to do the loop

  • I survive Ejaculation everyday>>>

  • LMAO! As do I!! Hahaha!

  • dude, that's freakin not funny

  • First of all, I wasn't laughing at the crash. I was laughing at Keyboard099's comment. Some one said the pilot survived the ejaculation instead of ejection. Keyboard said he survived ejaculation everyday. I commented that I did too. Read the comments a bit more before you get angry at people please.

  • oh, sry. well i figured it would have been under reply. sry

  • It's alright. At first I was wondering why people where talking about ejaculation. Then I searched the comments.... and laughed my ass off. Hahahahaha! It really made my day. lol

  • fool

  • what a horrible pilot

what a waste of a beatiful plane

must be a ufo that caused the crash

  • Yeah not enough air speed

  • hey!! we invented the airplane

  • did it destroy thosse cars

  • no it crashed right back onto the runway
