The robotic fish are being used to detect particular pollutants in the depths of the River Thames. Once they detect a pollutant, they send signals to other members of their school to come to the scene of action.
Theres a new site that gives away free things like collector items, airline miles, game consoles, and more.
How it works -
You use their search engine to look up things like you would Google. Every search u are rewarded with digital money. U then use the money and buy cool things. Every search they get a little money so they can give u rewards. (How do u think Google gets all their money?)
the purpose is for these robotic fish to sense water pollution in the water its environmental, supposedly, these robotic fish cost $29,000 each amazing
If they're going to send out of schools of them, they should think about what will happen to these robotic fish when they either breakdown or gets 'injured' when something takes a bite out of it. I like the idea, but it's important not to contribute to any more littering of the oceans. It could disrupt certain species, especially if small pieces get bit off from them.
just imagine if this thing is released into the sea....when there is a shark coming all the other fishes swim away but this fish just swimming slowly like a total dipshit...the shark would be like...wtf....
I think if they put those ''robotic fish'' out at sea that they would be smart enough to but a fish repellant to ward off the larger preditors in the sea from eating them that realy would hurt some fish populations and possably there diet who wants a evolved shark in 200 years that can eat huge amounts of metal and live? or possably a boat?!?
well your all wrong....its not that its has low votage...either way it will still damage the circut....a mobile phone has a low voltage...but if you dropped that it water the circut will break..its because they water proof every componant...its very simple...its nothing to do about the actual circut board or wires.
that fish is awsome i read about it a couple days ago ... really good for a buch of metals and rubber putting together . and it's like 19inches or something
does it have any navigation algorithms? or does is wanders off randomly?
how's depth controlled? Neutral buoyancy only?
Nice work...
and no... it's not about replacing life... it's about extending it... A robot fish could be used for maintenance in water habitats without severe disruption of the environment, for research, and for leisure...

these things are 1.5 m long and will be released in schools, I don't think many other sea creatures are gonna be messing with them
gejiangeiger 2 years ago
except sharks...?
MrMartIt 2 years ago
you think sharks would attack a 1.5m long creature who does not bleed and smells funny
(sharks wont attack them but sharks are very curious creatures and will bite it just to see what that weird thing is)

correct, though I suppose low voltage and extremely low amperage wouldn't cause damage, though it would prevent it from operating.
Low voltage is technically anything below 1000, so... =\
