If they're going to send out of schools of them, they should think about what will happen to these robotic fish when they either breakdown or gets 'injured' when something takes a bite out of it. I like the idea, but it's important not to contribute to any more littering of the oceans. It could disrupt certain species, especially if small pieces get bit off from them.

well your all wrong....its not that its has low votage...either way it will still damage the circut....a mobile phone has a low voltage...but if you dropped that it water the circut will break..its because they water proof every componant...its very simple...its nothing to do about the actual circut board or wires.

Yeah but when you see that underwater, it's just a fish, only close examination will show it looks weird, who bother checking all the fish in a lake anyway? that's why the movement is more important too, if it moves like a fish and looks a bit like a fish, you assume its one and dont look closer. just excellent for spying (like already mentioned) or security, could have scientific uses too.

nope not an animation..looking at the humoid robots from Sony the Qrio I beleive it's calle, I have seen how fluid their motion is. The is very much possible to vreate a robot fish.
