it all depends on where you live.. the ambition and icon snowskates are deffinatly better suited for the city and urban environments. but if your at a mountain or terrrain park, snowdecks are the way to go without a doubt.

The bi-decks which have a ski under them are really hard to do tricks on, but are awesome for riding. The decks with four skis are probably most like riding a skateboards because usually what people do is they just replace their wheels with skis. So its like riding a skateboard with skis for wheels. @131197sebi neither. they are actually a whole different board. Its got a rigid yet slick bottom, its slightly curved concave in the middle, and the kicks are normally pretty high. way different. also there are many different designs so ya snow...

i dont use a snowskate, but i do know the grip tape on snowskates is different cus skateboard griptape ices over real bad with compressed snow and it dosnt come off.

Yeah... I took off the wheels and trucks on my skateboard and tried going down a hill. it worked, in a way. Except you couldn't steer and every time you stopped, you had this HUGE chunk of ice on the grip tape :(
