Antropov was a good homegrown, but he gets injured often because of his knees. If He Can Maintain His Health, He is a potential 1st liner On A Majority Of Teams

the kolzig trade was basically a money trade. All the Tampa players have next to no value to them. The rookies arent brilliant, Kolzig is injured and then retiring. The idea was that in return for giving leafs capsapce toronto would get a draft pick.

With Cujo probably retiring, that leafs us with Toskala starting next year, with Gerber backing up. Which is to be honest the best goaltending would have had in quite a while

we got kolzig because he was expensive and we had money, we took a pick and a prospect because of that, then we gave them sub par player richard petiot, its called renting cap space, i think

Kolzig is a UFA at the end of this year, and Burke has no intention of resigning him. That trade was for money purposes only. Burke just bought a 4th rounder. Smartest, sneakiest trade. Gotta love the guy.
