As much as I agree that "Devo was right" (and have been paying close attention to the state of affairs since the early eighties, I can't help but be disappointed in Devo's current political stances. Don't they understand that they're going against everything they preached about? It's sad when these artists grow up and become/support the crap that they knew was "the problem"

As for taking out something from within, a good example I can think of is communist subversion into the Democratic and even the Republican Parties. And, it's not as elaborate as it may seem as many politicians are also baby-boomers who became 60's hippies who pride themselves in socialist thinking.

Another example of taking something from inside out: undercover police stings of drug organizations.

One example I can think of is Matsushita Electric's takeover of Quasar. They bought the company out, gradually phased out Quasar as an American brand (including displacement of the American management and workforce), and now Quasar is a shadow of its former self that is facing termination, if not already been terminated, and all for the advantage of Panasonic.

Then there's Microsoft. Just how did they get the idea for Windows? They got involved with Apple and used the partnership to steal many ideas that went towards creating the Lisa and the Macintosh.

And, Apple did the same thing to Xerox so Apple could make the Lisa and the Macintosh.

They both got into their competitors, took their ideas, and profited off of them scott-free.
