wasnt really that bad a crash but it still split in two lol. happens to me occasionally but i stomp down the crash leaving me a bit of extra space, just incase lol
I don't know how you come to the conclusion that CMPro stuff is tail heavy, I had this same model with an OS70FS it flew perfect ballanced as per instructions, the only way they are tail heavy is if the person asembling the model doesn't check the CofG and move the battery or add weight to get the correct CofG.
I think an experienced pilot could start there easily and even land on that parking lot.
But it really looks like he wanted to build something fine, but had no idea of how to fly it the right way and I'm sure he thought this would be like playing with a toy.
Can't be difficult? It is , in the beginning!
Luckily these 'pilots' come down mostly before someone gets badly hurt by them.
im no sociologist, but you can tell by the body language he was scared of the plane, then set himself for a crash, any experienced r/c pilot would have never tried to fly in that spot.
on the same parking lot but after reconsidering i have the plane rebuilt and i really will need a much longer landing strip as the plane flyes quite fast and has no flaps.
Giles are known for ripping of landing gears at landing, you have to fly it in real fast otherwise you loose airspeed. My friend has a glow powered Giles he ripped of the landing gear 6 times so far, so I suggest put plastic screws and try to have flaperons with your ailerons.
Thus ending the great Giles experiment.....
