lipos of good brands wont explode. I tested some and there was no explosion when I nailed, short ciricut or overcharged them. They only got pretty hot (may ~80°C) but they never explode or caught fire
I was charging a couple recently purchased 3-cell 910 mah 11.1 v ThunderPower batteries with a 4-port charger. The charger indicated an error (beeping repeatedly) which prompted my attention. I unplugged the batteries from the charger and noticed one was swollen. I made sure the Lipo sack was sealed and left it to cool down. Five minutes later I checked and the batteries had exploded. The bag contained the initial explosion but ripped the seam, secondary explosion caused a fire. Be careful
people who make staged lipo fire vids are generally idiots .the most unsafe thing you can do with any battery pack while charging is put it where you can't see it.....or put it where the venting gases can accumulate.... A couple of those videos were sped up for effect as well..... If you're afraid of lipos...cool....more for me
Dude, when you put the lipo in the aquarium and then capped it with a board and rock, you were creating a bomb... use your head and be safer for your own damn good... how does a tennis ball packed with gun powder work with pressure. Next time leave the lid off but still be carefull of flying glass if the aquarium blows up from a pack that's too large.
Wow. I knew LiPo's were pretty amazing when they decided to die amazingly but I'll be really, really careful now when dealing with the things. Yipes. The reactions are spectacularly abrupt in some cases.

lipos under normal charging conditions will not catch fire. they only do from overcharging. its best to use a charger that prevents overcharging.

This Sack seems to be a really safe thing. The most fun would be if you could make the battery explode while it is in a rc airplane flying :)
