@Nightshift10000 They aren't even efficient, they're pretty stupid actually. Selling out their fellow humans for biased drug laws. They're all idiots if they think they're doing any good. I guess ignorance is efficient though. The laws the uphold are certainly ignorant.

I always wonder if Julia's plan (voluntarily becoming proles) would have worked, though probably not, as the book strongly implies that the Party does not tolerate the existence of over-intelligent proles. Terrifying stuff, to which "Dracula" is a mere fairy-tale (though Peter Cushing remains the best Van Helsing by a long shot :) ).
