I have a VHS copy of Rudolph and it did not have this logo at the end, just Broadway Video..So I put some scotchtape over the tab, and recorded the Rankin Bass logo at the end over the Broadway logo....I just went back in time 30 years!!!
Mr. Rankin and Bass, thanks for scaring the crap outta me as a kid! Enjoyed the Rudolph and Frosty specials every year, though..............so I guess it balances out!
The kind of sounds used in this logo remind me of Tom and Jerry. I saw this after a movie. I forgot what movie it was, but it was a christmas movie. Unless if that B flew up at the screen, I was never scared by this logo, like most people.
I agree withe ckendall67; there is something about the tone that is very odd, but I still associate it with my childhood and how much I loved those Christmas specials.
I REALLY wanted to see this after Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. Rudolph is one of my favorite Christmas specials on all time. This logo fits SO well with the ending on Rudolph. Instead I see a stupid Broadway Home Video logo at the end. I WAS PISSED OFF!!!!!!!!!!.
"Rudolph" did have the logo tacked on when it first aired on CBS in 1972 (with the byline "A Division of Tomorrow Entertainment") and has played that way up until the early 90's.
@HBKanedge818 I have a tape of Frosty the Snowman from CBS in 1990, where its shows both the RB logo and the Broadway Video logo. Not sure how many times it happened, but it happened that time at least. Since I mostly watched that tape, and not the broadcast on TV, I have to ask, how often did this happen?
Wow. It's amazing how seven seconds of simple visuals and sounds can bring back such a flood of memories for me.

On "Frosty the Snowman" the logo carries a 1968 Videocraft copyright. But seeing as that special was made in 1969, as it is correctly identified on the main titles, for the R/B logo the copyright stamp should read "© Videocraft International Limited MCMLXIX".

Remember this fondly, along with the Dolly Madison commercials that used to air with all the Charlie Brown specials.

After watching all the old Christmas specials from back then, I've always wanted it to never end there until next year.

Always made me sad because I knew it was the end of Rudolph and Frosty until next year.

This logo scares the heck out of me. This was taken from Santa Claus is coming to town which I do own on VHS and seen bunch of times on ABC Family.

ABC family's 25 days of christmas kept this logo intact on a few specials. I'm sure we'll see it this christmas too (I hope anyway)

It was made when they were still called Videocraft International, so it never had an R-B logo.
