dave matthews has been doing this for a long time as well in a ton of his older songs but he usually plays it on the E string and the G string instead (think grey street, lie in our graves, #41, tripping billies, two step, dancing nancies, etc...)...

@MrAlfredocolon Dave actually has a lot of really great techniques, that I'll be willing to bet you can't, or couldn't play very easily. He's got some ridicules stretching on quite a bit of his songs, and some effed up timing in verses. Granted, a lot of it is in the style, and if you know that style well it will be easy over time.
