  • what kind of mpgs are you getting?

  • are your injectors stock

  • @ihat3h1tmark3rs No. They are 6 hole by .016 size.

  • Im a chevy/gmc man, but thats sexy right there.

  • I love the sound of that diesel... I wish I had one

  • man thats a clean stack fab!

  • 5" stacks?

  • @Slog58 Yes.

  • Does straight piping lower the engine performance because of no muffler

  • @2354bill6 No

  • @2354bill6 makes more hp,but not much

  • hey does yours have a lvling kit? if so how did you do it? i have the exact same truck and i wanna make it sit level

  • @jacon92 NO

  • How do you get it to sound like that im building a 12 valve but next gen up Sounds Great.

  • @1132779 Build the pipes, and the sound will come. :)

  • what year??

  • @285yamaha Look in the title??

  • @1958johndeere620 lol

    i got 97 1500... love Dodge / RAM

  • btw I want your truck!

  • you all see how This guys Diesel is Running peffect No black smoke Unless under a Load, all those people shooting black smoke out are retarded. Simply Unburnt Diesel.

  • That is so sick!

  • Just sounds so raw!

  • that thing looks as clean as they day it rolled off the line

  • @starr101010 Actually it was a total rot box. I did a frame up restore and its pretty nice, but not mint.

  • and whats the best modds to get for pulling long distance horse and cattle trailers lets say 500 miles every week or so

  • @joe23ba That depends. If its an auto then a tight converter is a good upgrade. The stock converter is pretty loose. If your going to tow heavy you can't go crazy on power. This truck basically never tows. The truck has enough power to burn the engine into the ground. The best upgrades are good air filter intake, 4 inch exhaust. Good air in, easy air out. Read some diesel truck forums and you can decide on upgrades from there.

  • where did u get theys stacks at man they are sick!!!!! I need to get some for my 2001 dodge ram

  • @jkorn1000 I built them myself. Got the parts at a heavy truck parts store.

  • What kinda gas mileage do you get without the trailer?

  • @JManGuitar5150 16 to 18

  • @1958johndeere620 Damn that's pretty good

  • @1958johndeere620 how good are the automatic dodges im looking at one here a 97 flatbed 3500 regular cab and we pull 18 wheeler trailers unloaded of coars

  • @joe23ba Get a manual. You'll get beter millage. Plus, Maunuals are less expensive I believe.

  • that fucken hot! fuck ford this will distroy that eco bost billshit

  • @gohabsgo1fan You're comparing a gas engine to a diesel engine. Your comment was just plain dumb.

  • @tarponsalltheway im just sayin ithis is better man . im a diesel man all they way

  • 2:09 i like this sound

  • I'm new to diesel pickups, so far yours is the only setup I've seen where the Y pipe

comes up through the center of the bed, all others come up on the passenger side

who make your setup and where can I get it?

    Thanks.

  • @vinnyg6969 I made it.

  • Love the paint, flat grey?

  • sounds great

  • i have a 93 Dodge Ram. I absolutely love the truck. It was my first vehicle. Still have it. When i first got it, it was straight piped, but no stacks. I had to put a muffler on it, after the state police got me lol. Virginia is so stupid.

  • wheres the guy that thinks this is a "polluting pile of cr@p that is nothing but the source of global warming" shouldn't he have commented already? haha

I think this is cool especially when ur blowin smoke like the guy mentioned before

  • From a Ford guy........That was amazing sounding!

  • You ever have any problems with the getrag with the mods youve done? Lookin to swap one into my 89 250 and maybe add some injectors and turbo upgrade

  • @coryflappercod1 I have only had it for 5,000 miles or so. They are not the best tranny, but if you overfill them by atleast a quart they stay together better. The factory fill port in the side of the tranny is to low and they found out some of the bearings get starved of oil. Its not good to run 5th gear when hauling heavy as it can explode the countershaft bearings. So, its OK, just take care of it and don't beat the shit out of it.

  • Damn thats music to my ears!

  • i can listen to this all day , nice truck !!!

  • what do you have in this thing for parts?

  • @torafoss Just what it says at the start of the vid.

  • Okay im 15 years old about to get a dodge cummins for my 16th birthday. This truck sounds amazing! What size stacks are these and how do i make my truck sound this way?

  • @DeerslayerMO15 I made the stacks. For it to sound this way, don't run a muffler. I put one on it since the video. It sounded good but drew to much attention in town barking off cars and buildings.

  • @DeerslayerMO15 lucky i wish i could get a cummins for my 16th birthday

  • @christiangr22 man i gtta buy my cummins haha would be awesome if i could as a gift lol shits expensive

  • @DeerslayerMO15 i know man i bean growing up on cummins and i love the fuck out of them been tryin to save the money

oh btw just get it straight piped bigger the pipe louder it is

  • Where did you get your stacks or are they custom made?

  • @Krazy5530 I made it.

  • Sounds sick dude! And I drive a ford lol

  • sounds straight up like an N14

  • just popped a boner lol

  • oh man that sounds amazing. only thing its missing is a jake haha

  • That is one gorgeous sounding truck! what mpg's do you get out of it?

  • @angamoos 18 tops. usually 16 to 17.

  • What size and brand tires do you have on your truck?

  • @50sChevyKING

Well, it depends. When this vid was made it had 235 85 16's on the stock steel rims. Now it has some 3rd gen rims with 285 75 17's Dura Nitro Grapplers rings a bell. Not sure without looking.

  • @1958johndeere620 how well are they in the winter

  • @50sChevyKING I don't drive any of them in the winter. All 3 are hiding from the salt. For a winter tire the firestone winterforce tires are the very best I have ever used. I have those on the wifes Jeep and also have 6 of them on the duramax ton truck that handles plowing and sanding duty.

  • Man I have a powerstroke but that is the best sounding truck I've ever heard! Excellent video man!!!!

  • that has to be one of the nicest sounding cummins ive ever heard!

  • beautiful soundin truck man!

  • Nice truck man! You got yourself a real beauty there!

  • now all ya need is a jake haha

  • can i marry your truck? cuz its everything im looking for!

  • i dont know anyone who hauls a 4wd tractor on a bumper hitch trailer......

  • @fireman22ish Well now you do. I have hauled tractors on that trailer for 20 years.

  • @fireman22ish As long as you have the right hitch it's not a problem. I hauled a 26,000 pound chipper on a bumper hitch

  • is it a standard?

  • @XxzombifiedxRaverxX Obivously, do you not hear it shifting.

  • @xxbal1inxx in all honesty i couldn't hear the shifting sorry my speakers are old on this computer so its my fault. but thank you for answering my question (not said ssarcastically)

  • I'm a Chevy guy, but I love the cummins sound. Nice truck

  • Sounds just like an 18 wheeler!!!

  • finally, a video of a big diesel doing what it was meant to do, be loud, and haul shit.(:

  • I SEEM TO BE DRIBBLING!

  • sounds exactly like a big rig. hell yea nice truck

  • I needs a towel!!!!!!!

  • Yee Haa!!! Hammer down BRO!

  • lol hooker to 2 ts110s on a 35 foot flat then show us lol mine had trouble with that before i done all mi work

  • very badass!

  • cool truck- i have a secong generation

i don't get the stacks- don't they make it louder in the cab??

  • Straight 5min of pure music.

  • good god, i had goosbumps, a boner, and was mesmorized watching this.....sick 1st gen dudde

  • God damn ur naghbors are PISSED at how loud that beast is, lol sick ass truck dude!!!

  • That sound.. god, dare I say anymore?

  • sounds damn good

  • I have a '92 2WD, I wish it was a stick, but I still love that truck. I have plans for a 4" down pipe and 5' stacks... to start. Nice truck man, keep her up

  • aww geez.. why are my pants wet, lol

nice truck man , sound is amazing

  • Comment removed

  • I always use the clutch. I don't on my big trucks but these are a syncro tranny and if you do that it will be dead soon.

  • I am building a 93 12 valve W350. We do a lot of heavy towing (10/12 ton loads) not counting the trailer weight. How do you think PODs (50 hp) injectors will do? What pump adjustment do you recommend? Is a 1/8 to much pump timing for the application? My dodge has a full set of gauges. I am used to mechanical Cummins (Big Cam 1 in my 78 model KW). Any other ideas?

  • Towing heavy like that I would not do PODS. They are dirty and hot running sticks. If you work the truck that hard I would buy a set of Bosch 190's. They are not real pricey and do well when used while towing. I would also think about a Super HX 40 or a 57mm S300G. With either of those turbo's you will need to update the exhaust to a 4 inch system which will also help in your case. Also lots of timing and towing heavy is not the best combo. I would not advance more then the 1/8 th over stock.

  • how high of rpms were ya goin when you had a load

  • 3100, maybe 3200

  • damn that thing was wrapped out lol

  • hey this is a very ignorant question but y does it smoke like that when it has the trailer???

  • Big injectors and a heavy load.

  • Im a GM guy...but id kill for that truck! 5 Stars

  • that is a beautiful sounding truck!

  • hi there, just wondering if you've tryed messin with the smoke screw. Is it harm ful to the engine? I was told it could burn up a piston becasue it leans out the mixture if you turn it clockwise. Just looking for a second opinion.

    thanks

  • Yes I mess with the smoke screw. On a truck with stock or slightly mild injectors it helps with turbo spool. On the other hand with big injectors like this truck has you actually back it up to help with low boost fuel. You can actually put to much fuel in at low rpm's with big sticks. Running lean is a gas engine term. All diesels run lean due to the intake being wide open. It does not have throttle plates or butterfly's like a gasser. You burn pistons by running to hot or by bad injectors.

  • ok, so to cause damage with the smoke screw, one needs to not only screw it in 2 1/2 turns or so but flogg the piss to her and over heat it.

  • If the only thing you change is the smoke screw and leave the fuel screw and fuel cone alone you are not going to overheat anything. All the smoke screw does is give more fuel at the hit of the throttle. At wide open it does not give any more then before.

  • would like to find a "first-generation" 5.9B to transplant into my son's Ramcharger, or, if he's still just GOTTA have a 440, maybe I'll put one into a full-size Bronco, just for orneriness. For a short-wheelbase fullsize SUV like that, bone-stock would still be just fine.......for a while...

  • badass truck!

  • Bad ass truck man! Always enjoy seeing another guy with an old 90's diesel still running strong :)

  • I may be buying a first generation extended cab dually and was wondering if you can still hear the stacks good sitting in the drivers seat being that there is some extra cab there compared to the regualar cab? Im gonna put them on anyway but i just wondered what to expect as far as sound. Thanks!

  • You can hear it for sure. With the back window open its loud.

  • alright thanks again. what size stacks are those 5"?

  • DOnt blieve that you have the injectors cause u should be smoking even with the stock trrbo, and a hic was on the 89 90 and some 91's that was not intercooled. But very nnice trucks i got lots of parts for these mt last one was 805 and 388 with the ae pumkp still

  • First of all, you better get your facts straight before you come here and tell me what I have and what first gen cummins trucks had. The H1C was on all first gens. The non intercooled trucks had a smaller compressor wheel then the intercooled models but all WERE H1C's. As far as injectors, I do have 6x.016's and my tune is pretty mild. If I unhooked the afc or had my fuel screw maxed it would smoke more. I have a buddy with 6x.018's and his truck smokes less because he has stock settings.

  • Finally some stacks that don't look like they were installed by 3 high schoolers and their little brother. Sounds great!

  • I spent a few hours setting them up. I bought all the elbows and pipe then made these. I wanted them to look nice and be even smoke. Thats why they are fed dead center.

  • @1958johndeere620

I noticed that right away! Perfect smoke on both sides where others hit the right side slightly before! You did an amazing job...I watch this video over and over all the time!

  • sounds great man. whats it got for a tranny?

  • G360 Getrag. Its the stock one.

  • Nice sound, nice hauling truck

  • East Bound and Down loaded up and TRUCKIN !!! Hell yea

  • ram is the shit check out my 04 cummins with stacks later megadiesel231

  • what intercooler is in your 93? the one in this vid. thank you....

  • The stock one.

  • sounds nice looks nice atleast from the bed anyway. im a fan. maybe 1 day ill get rid of my yota. it will be a ford or dodge for me.

  • where you get the pipes? do you have a link?

  • I bought the stack tips and pipe at a heavy truck parts store and made it myself.

  • i like the truck man them old cummins are great!

  • how much power are throwin down i like ur set up u got a ver clean first gen man and sounds badass

  • 301 hp and 731 torque. Its not clean, far from it. Multi colored, rusty. I built it so its my baby no matter what shape its in.

  • Truck Sounds beautiful

  • What kinda stack kit do you have? Just bought a 90 12valve non-intercooled

  • I bought all the pipe and made it myself.

  • lol wow i thought with the 6X16 sticks u have it would smoke more then it did at first lol sounds awsum

  • It only smokes as much as the operator allows. My tune is pretty mild.

  • Sounds AWESOME...love it!

  • if i heard that coming up behind me i would expect to turn around and see a 40tonne lorry or something, sounds absolutly amazing. love the smoke on a couple of the shifts to, really gives it the icing on the cake if you ask me :)

  • All it's missing is a jake!!

  • Do you like the getrag transmission?? Had you have any problems with the Getrag Transmission. I have 89 dodge ram 350 cummins diesel and i had to rebuilt my 5sp getrag, and i was very hard to find parts for it...

  • I have only put 3 thousand miles on it since I had it. So far so good. I am friends with the original owner and he had the tranny fail around 60 thousand miles. The dealer rebuilt it. If you need getrag parts in the future do a search for " Z BAG " parts. Its Zumbrota gear co or somthing close to that.

  • Ok thank you, i will search for that..

  • Any muffler or just straight?

  • No muff.

  • those 12 valves always sounded good to me

  • Nice sounding truck man.

  • Sounds great

  • very nice love the sound and the truck.

  • Good lookin truck. How much horsepower do you have out of it, and where did you get your injectors?

  • Don't know HP. I bought the sticks in a private sale.

  • very nice truck, i want one when im older, i have fallen in love with cummins and dual stacks!

  • the bigger the stacks are the deeper the sound will be bud it will be a lil quieter

  • thanks johndeere i appreciate your help and info keep on truckin

  • well the ones you have turn outs would they be louder and more expensive then say bullhaulers and your diameter stacks

  • Search grand rock stacks or black cloud diesel. I put up a link but I guess youtube got upset because its gone. Loud wise, I think they would be the same.

  • okay john deere you know what your talking about. i have two questions which stacks would make it sound like a big or i guess yours and how much would they cost?

  • I have never heard one personally but I would assume it would sound nice. As far as cost I have seen kits for stacks in the 5 to 7 hundred dollar range depending on what you wanted for the actual chrome stacks. The bigger in diameter the more expensive.

  • if you put stacks on say an 08 would it sound the same as this and if not why?

  • No it would not. They have different size engine, different injection system, different turbo. An 08 would also have a DPF diesel particulate filter system that acts as a muffler as well. Those systems can be deleted with a tuner but also voids your warranty.

  • awesome 1st gen, Ill post up some vids of mine with a gooseneck as soona as I put the stacks. Keep on truckin

  • Sounds great! Awesome first gen ya got their!

  • I will get vid of mine as I like the mount Idea. Wind noise down to nada makes it nice. My exhaust brake with the dual 7" sounds scary as hell ... Kinda like a beech ball getting stabbed.

  • Sounds real good Richie.

Every time I watch this, the 5" turnout in my garage gets more appealing.

  • yea mines gotta str8 pipe. no cat or muffler. but its an auto and a 3rd gen lol.

  • Sounds great man! Doesn't seem to smoke much either, which I like.

  • Its tuned pretty mild. The 6X16's have serious potential as long as you have all the the goodies to go along with it which I don't have yet. I bought big sticks so I would never have to buy another set when I upgrade other stuff. I can grow all the way to wild with them.

  • how big are the stacks?

  • 5 inch
