omg! i LOVE!<3 the outsiders! i wanna go sooo bad! you are sooo lucky![: i read the outsiders this year in school and i saw the movie this year and i bought the book and got the movie for christmas[: i love the characters in the book and the cast of the movie<3 they are ALL sooo HOT! in the movie<3 expecially Johnny Cade<3 and Sodapop Curtis<3 and omg i wanna touch the fench soooo bad! and go to the drive in and the other movie theater where pony was and at 1:08 is that where the foutain was? The house is the one that was used for the movie. It belonged to a family (an older couple, I think) who moved out for a while when the movie was being filmed. The character of Ponyboy was completely fictional; the jumping scene at beginning of the book, though, was based on something that happened to a friend of S.E. Hinton's, and was the reason she started writing the book.

i grew up and still live in tulsa and some of the places were the wrong places, like the real park was demolished a long time ago, and so was their house, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But, if you come back, the sight where the scene where ponyboy talks with randy anderson is in Owosso just north of tulsa, you cant miss it, you can see the football field in the movie. oh and cool story, my cousin was in the same hospital when they shot the hospital scene.

OMG im from tulsa all my family lives up there i drive past half that stuff when visiting and my cosin used to live right next to the rail road tracks. i live in texas now and it will never be as good as tulsa oh well its almost thanksgiving break yep 11-22-07 and i get to go up there again. i cant wait.
