I've played All the Main Ac games, and love them all, each one has it's personal "feel" to it,
Myself I Still Enjoy playing the original, the visuals, the setting, and altair himself are my favourites! of course the first game had it's flaws in terms of gameplay, but they improved it each time a new game released, and that's just awesome, Even with beeing a franchise that released a game each year (after ac II) and now AC III being in Development for 2 years is gonna be Awesome!

I Agree with IGN. Currently, I'm replaying it and the gameplay, though fun at first, is getting annoying due to its repetitiveness. The reason I keep coming back to it is the story. I want to investigate and find how to kill the target and what it is he is doing wrong. Other than that, Blending, jumping in hay and getting viewpoints turn into a chore. Saving citizens is not as annoying but their repetitive dialogue is. They all say the same thing! And combat, while fun to watch, is really stale.

This game isn't terrible, but it gets tedious as shit after a while. Also, any sense of tension is destroyed once you get the counter attack; whenever I was spotted and attacked, I just killed the guards with no problem. There's no negative impact to being high profile.

So what was the score? I'd give gameplay a 6 for frustrating controls on the parkour. The story is great so add half point leaves u hanging for pt2 it got too repetative after main quest to keep going and 100% it so 6.5-7 at most for graphics and story horses but ac2 get at least 8.5-9 brohood gets a 9-10

Bullshit. Desmonds story was majorly important, me may not have known it at the time, but if its there, it had to be important, i played this game once and said, "yup, gonna be a sequal." I personally prefer the simplicity of this game over Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. There isn't an economic system which I kind of like (other than beggars annoying me). I also like how you earn your way to getting the best weapons in the game. Altair is easily the most bad-ass of all the main characters in the series (Altair, Ezio, Desmond (kind of)). The story, however, seems incomplete. It makes everything boring. I like the gameplay and challenge, but..
It didn't include much that was actually interesting about Altair, other than being demoted from Master Assassin to becoming an Apprentice, and working his way back up. He created the codex pages, led the Order to it's peak conditions, had two runs as Grand Master, etc.
I haven't played this game yet, but I loved both of the sequels, and I'm interested to at least try this game. The biggest problem with this review is that he said that the game sucked after every positive point he made about it. When he finally got to the negative, he didn't give enough evidence to support such a negative opinion.

This is so stupid. I've never actually owned/rented this game myself yet, but I have played the psp version and I've been told and have pretty much seen from gameplay and let's plays that the gameplay is 99% identical. The only actual difference is that obviously the controls are different for the different systems. But still, the psp version was fricking amazing and there is a basic in-game side mission designso that you pretty much can't run out of side missions, very cool.

I put off playing AC for the longest time, the first game's reviews were very mixed and it pretty much fell off my radar and into blissful oblivion. Well about a week ago, my brother got AC and has since got ACII. After living off of MINECRAFT for the last few months I said AH WHAT THE HELL... and gave it a shot. Surprisingly I am enjoying it quite alot, the game gets repetitive after the first 2-3 assassination but I still love plowing into and archer with my blade at the ready! B+
I have not, I'm almost done with AC1. Just two more assasinations to go then I'll pop the 2nd one in and see how that goes. I'm fully expecting to be blown away.
Good. Because I just finished AC1 last night and the final battles of that game made me rage soooo friikin hard. The combat system is klunky to begin with, i was so pissed off when i saw that i was fighting groups of 20-30 guys for the last two hours of the game... The biggest problem with this review is that he said that the game sucked after every positive point he made about it. When he finally got to the negative, he didn't give enough evidence to support such a negative opinion.

problem with this review is that its judging it as a one-off game, you have to play them all in order to get the full mind blowing experience. ive been there from the very begging and will be there at the end, come on AC REVELATIONS!!!!

This is so stupid. I've never actually owned/rented this game myself yet, but I have played the psp version and I've been told and have pretty much seen from gameplay and let's plays that the gameplay is 99% identical. The only actual difference is that obviously the controls are different for the different systems. But still, the psp version was fricking amazing and there is a basic in-game side mission designso that you pretty much can't run out of side missions, very cool.

OMFG, I'm so tired of reading comments saying: he doesn't like the game because it's not COD or he doesn't like being in Desmond's perspective, or the reviewer has a stupid name. I put off playing AC for the longest time, the first game's reviews were very mixed and it pretty much fell off my radar and into blissful oblivion. Well about a week ago, my brother got AC and has since got ACII. After living off of MINECRAFT for the last few months I said AH WHAT THE HELL... and gave it a shot. Surprisingly I am enjoying it quite alot, the game gets repetitive after the first 2-3 assassination but I still love plowing into and archer with my blade at the ready! B+

Good. Because I just finished AC1 last night and the final battles of that game made me rage soooo friikin hard. The combat system is klunky to begin with, i was so pissed off when i saw that i was fighting groups of 20-30 guys for the last two hours of the game... I think the developers just got lazy and were just like "F***K IT, I dont know what to do... lets just let him kill everything..." Ya well F you shittyass piece of shit.!!!!

The first one really wasn't that good. Good idea and a step in the right direction, but it seemed like a beta of assassin's creed 2 and not really a start of a series. Good story though.

The second starts a whole different story with a different assassin but the same guy in the animus.... play the second and third. watch a spoiler for the first one, its not worth the play, completely aggravating
