I cried, a lot, i don't know you, or your son at all yet i can just feel only small part of what terrible loss that must have been, and it fills me with such despair and helplessness, things like this should never have to happen. im truly sorry for your loss, as late as the sympathy is, i hope it is still relevant

@Xankar1 thankyou, yes I guess it is still very relevant, as long as young ones are being lost due to road crash it will always be relevant. At the time of the crash and death the support from the community is amazing, however after nearly 4 years it becomes like they never existed as people do move on with their own lives. it is the family who live with it every day.

I am very sorry for your loss. My mum was teh only fatality in an accident caused when a drunk driver on a road through the desert in Arizona, forced the vehicle in which she was a passenger was caused to roll several times, ejecting her onto the desert floor, the only fatality of the 4 people involved. Your images brought back such vivid memories for me, not the least of which is the very similar environment, and the skid marks. May she and your son Rest In Eternal Peace.

Dion told me less than a month before the accident that should anything ever happen to him that I am to have him cremated, and his ashes bought home to be put in my care until the time comes for me, just like his cousin Jamies. that is why so they are with me, I am his mother, and they are here for the benefit of his brothers and sisters too,

in 18 years driving interstate,,i've lost a few mates to the road. one who I was too busy on the phone to talk to as he passed by in the opposite direction,, and died later that night.

I'm in tears as I write this,,, the worst thing I've ever been thru was having a driver die in my arms at the scene of his crash.

Dion told his love he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her,, He got his wish,,, just the wrong way.

I am so sorry for your loss. I honestly can't imagine the pain and suffering you must feel to have to bury your child. What I do know is that so many young lives are lost due to automobiles every year, even every day. I remember when I graduated high school four kids in my class died in automobile accidents, four kids. I was involved in two, once a pedestrian and once crashed into a fence trying to make a turn, both were when I was a teenager. To this day I avoid driving as much as I can.

yes very much worse I always thought loosing my mum would be the worst, but my mum is still alive, as Dions mum Dion was very much part of me. he was also part of his father too, but that is another not so happy story. it is something you can never get over, but I know from loosing my nephew Jamie 8 yrs ago car accident that it gets easier to deal with the loss but not the son. I lived with Jamie and his mum for the first 7 yrs of his life. that too was like loosing a son
