@TheAndiePerson They also have both The 7th Guest and The 11th Hour available for download at DotEmu as updated versions that should hopefully work better on newer systems.
The album for 7th Guest and 11th Hour music is listed as being by "The Fat Man and Team Fat," and it's called "7-ll."
The whole album by the "mr Death" band (European Sex Machine) can be found by searching AmieStreet or looking for "naked ladies and bloody skulls." Good luck with that one!
Was is called The Final Hour (Reprise)? Its a short piece....it starts with just a piano melody and then its joined by a walking bass line under the melody. If memory serves, it played in the music room when you are working the slider puzzle.
and if you thought that a million copies was bad, the company's last game was a compilation of all of their past games...and it sold under 200 copies in total. 200.
True, True... I think this game came no too long after windows 95 which started using direct X. The first wave of this game was for DOS. People had a lot of trouble to play the game since they had to run it on DOS on top of win 95. I would play it using a booting disk that would boot DOS with sound and video drivers. Of course it was a bit of a hassle at first. It was a good game... To bad they delay it and didn't take advantage of 3D when it came out.
By the way only 1.5 million units of this game where sold. On average I don't think too many people know about this game since; only few of us ever owned it.
Actually 1.5 million units is quite a lot, even by nowerdays standards it's considered a lot! Look at BioShock, it only sold 1 million copies and they're already announced that they're going to make 2 sequals to it!
I loved this game. I could not finish it though. I remember this video being in one of the CDs. Such of long time ago... I may still have the game some where. I would imagine that to play it I would have to emulate it or something. I doubt that mac or my Vista PC would like this game inside of them.
I was a huge fan of the 7th guest. I played that game to death, never finished it, puzzles were too difficult and I was only like 13 or 14. I wanted to 11th our so much but by then I didnt have the money nor was my PC able to keep up with the requirements. I heard it was very difficult to get this game to play under DOS and it would NOT run under Windows 95. (BLEGH!!)
It runs on Windows 95, it's just a bit difficult to set up at first. I've played and beaten this game and got both endings, the last puzzle is SO fucking hard. It took me three days to finally win.
3 days?! wow! I've been through games levels like that. I heard the 11th hour was REALLY tough due to some "random AI thing" for the puzzles making it different each time or exceedingly difficult. Am I right? What did they call it?

The game programmers/graphic artists must have needed iron stomachs...

Still looks impressive to me, even today. Good game. I agree about the last puzzle though; very tough indeed.

I can't quite recall, but the very last puzzle is the hardest, you have to play a board game against Stauff himself, and it's skullfuckingly hard.
Punk13405 4 years ago
heh hell ya, freshman year for me. I remember waking up early just so I could play it for an hour before school.
