Music is people's religion, minus the faith but with just as much dogma. You can tell because people get all upity when defending these points as if the main fear they're shielding themselves from is the possibility that it might be a sham, so overzealous they are. The idea that Creed being brought up in the presence of a Pixies video is sacreligious for example. The problem is that there is no universal harmony, so in effect, opinions are only votes, not indicators of truth by number.
cuz then they buy it on i-tunes then no one knows the real greatness of the bands. they dont have the best songs they did ether, like queens of the stone age. people no nothing other than 3s & 7s not anything eles
it's not just a matter of playing poorly cause he's older. The Pixies have always had a raw gritty feel to them and that's what I love about them. Nothing like this corporate rock like nickleback or creed or any of those bands that feel like they're coming off of some assembly line at the ford plant. The Pixies are real and their music means something.
@ihavegotnewsocks I love the pixies but i hate it when people use abstract and frankly meaningless terms like "real" and "raw gritty" to describe bands. Just because the pixies didn't sell as much as say nickleback or creed, dosent mean there any more "real" or meaningful than them, just different. Sorry i dont mean to get at you but i see this sort of comment everywhere and they piss me off.
@ranmore30 The reason you see that sort of comment everywhere is because there are still a few people that see reality for what it is and they make comments. I'm sorry but Creed and Nickleback are horrible compilations of corporate sounds, that has NOTHING to do with how many albums they have sold only the monotone sounds they compile. What pisses me off is when people fall for that crap hook line and sinker. Real and Raw are not abstract terms, they have meaning.

If you listen to their music you'd see the Pixies are not necessarily well defined but their sound comes from the heart not from their corporate masters.
@JoeyMondayRefused Agreed. The Pixies are infinity times better than Nickleback. I would rather go blind trying to focus my eyes on this pixelated pixies video than watch any of what Nicklepoop has to offer. The Pixies soak up deep in your soul whereas Nickleback stops short at your genitalia, jerks it off for a few minutes, and then leaves you there lying on the floor confused and full of regret. Furthermore, Nickleback's only written one song that I know of. I like a little variety. PixieLove.

THIS VERSION IS NOT HOW WAVE OF MUTILATION SHOULD BE PLAYED. Silly Frank Black being too tired and old to play the proper version on a more-than-infrequent basis.

@ranmore30 you sir, are a fool
The Pixies are a "real" band, Nickleback are not
The Pixies write songs for the love of music
Nickleback love money, and certainly can't love music with the shit they come out with

No. There's a slow and fast version.

haha as if this is what it would sound like if you just slowed down the original version.
