Russian airforce was "supposed" to receive 30+ by the end of 2010, but the contract was officially awarded in 2010 for the production to begin. So there is a bit of delay - but target date is around 2015 for 70~100 units - however, it is being questioned that whether Sukhoi can meet that requirements. If the unit is not delievered before 2012, then cost overrun would make each unit as expensive if not more, than F-15E. Customers will beinterested in F-15E rather than Su-34 if at same price.
Su-32/34 is comparable to F-15E or Tornado IDS - Su-34 still is the same frame as Su-27 with widened cross fulesalge, and with pretty much the same control surface. It is designed to fulfill mid-range strike/bombing role. Su-34 is export version of Su-32 but due to budget & cost control issue, and does not have any international buyer and Russian airforce managed only purchase 18 of them - but expects to increas by 70~100 by the end of 2015 but again, the production is still being delayed.
Yes, Su-32/34 and F-15E has individual ejection seats. In F-111 has entire cockpit canopy ejects, so pilots do not carry parachute. Both system works just fine. But it is reported that F-111's cockpit ejection has lower chance of injury for pilots.

@runxxeroxx Are you joking? The "cabin" is designed as it has to be. It ist large in comparison, the cockpit is big enough to let the crew stand, it contains toilet and kitchen as well. See at 1:16 how spacy it is. To make it in one section would be really senseless. And even the much smaller F-16's canopy is parted in two as you should know.

I don't if it will ever live up to my favorite F-111, but It's definitely a very cool airplane that is highly advanced. I love the look of it. I love 2 place cockpits (side by side).

not really. F-35 is more a replacement for the F-16. The Su-34 is almost twice as heavy, with lots more weapons. Totally different classes of aircraft. F-111 would have been the closest counterpart but they had been retired. Its a low-altitude defence penetrator for surgical strikes and possibly (my educated guess) long-range interceptor. Maybe even as a lead-in fighter

What does it mean to be rich ? In monetary terms, the U.S. is the largest debtor country in history, but still rich in technology and innovation...Russian is rich in intellectual capital (Soviet legacy) and in resources...China is rich in industrial potential as well as population - the most important thing long term (and culture) of all.

This plane should not be used for export. First aim is to re-arm the Russian Forces. Russia can export other things like milk and bread, but not this universal machine.
Russians should export their secondary military power. Like T-80, Mi-28, BTR-80s but not such successful planes. Because once China or India, gets them, they will introduce their own production of planes and then Russia will loose it's buyers. This is simply not clever.
I know that it is not the same version. It's just that other planes should be put in export. E.g. Frogfoot, Su-24, Su-27 and so on. Su-34 is the backbone of Russian Forces and does not convey export.
My theory is that nowadays the russians should not export that aircraft,but China,Pakistan and India are creating more advanced indigenous designes and in some years the russians will have to export more advanced machines.

Don't forget that for obvious reason Russians were not indoctrinated to hate the Soviet Union - and thus have no problems being proud of it's achievements.
Older generations - especially the veterans who are still alive were Soviets.
Anyway - look at last years parade - Russia invited western allies to partake in the parade and many came and marched with Russians and all you care about are some flags?

It's part of Russia's history.
And while you seem to expect us to be ashamed of it, most of us are quite proud of it - especially about the victory over Nazism.

What does it mean to be rich ? In monetary terms, the U.S. is the largest debtor country in history, but still rich in technology and innovation...Russian is rich in intellectual capital (Soviet legacy) and in resources...China is rich in industrial potential as well as population - the most important thing long term (and culture) of all.

This plane should not be used for export. First aim is to re-arm the Russian Forces. Russia can export other things like milk and bread, but not this universal machine.

Russians should export their secondary military power. Like T-80, Mi-28, BTR-80s but not such successful planes. Because once China or India, gets them, they will introduce their own production of planes and then Russia will loose it's buyers. This is simply not clever.

I know that it is not the same version. It's just that other planes should be put in export. E.g. Frogfoot, Su-24, Su-27 and so on. Su-34 is the backbone of Russian Forces and does not convey export.

слова одни и те же аналогов нет всё самое лучшее , по оценкам западных специалистов.никакой объективности, нет сравнения с аналогами , даже канал дискавери иногда показывает нашу технику а тут за 150 серий ни одного аналога. даже не говорят по каких характеристикам мы лучше.

Во-первых, это не истребитель, а истребитель-бомбардировщик (индекс ИБ).
Он опоздал на 10 лет. Первый прототип был показан ещё Горбачёву и ещё в 90-м году.
