Some people just don't care about anybody but themselves, and some people are just incompetent. Although there is a handful of people like yourself the are the good people that have to clean up their mess.
Rants are good even if no one watches. It is what we do to let it out so that we don't go crazy! "They just know they don't have to come back to work on it, we do..." So true. We have lots of asgging air handler's and furnaces in our attics. :( I finally got out of residential though. So now I only see it on occasion. :)
I look forward to seeing the video on this. I have to work on some seventy ton chillers that were installed flat on the ground. So now when I have to use a water hose to clean the condensing coil the water doesn't drain right. There are other hacked stuff, too many to list here.
