I believe he took the ball (and the man, by his own admission) in what was a heavy foul on an unforgiving pitch. Yes it was a foul, but in now way was there intent. Unlike the way the Russell player reacted. Whom I think you will find, was more than apologetic (as were most of his Russell team mates) for his ungentlemanly reaction to the incident.
