  • Honda's oil filters are just a Fram with the Honda name on it. I stopped buying Fram after seeing this video.

  • LOL..

  • Thanks for the video. Great comparison and what the fuck is up with the shitty Honda? $8 for that crap! I'd expect better!

    Glad I found this video!

  • Good and funny video but come on people since when are the oil filters we have been using for years all of a sudden a big deal when it comes to the cunstruction? Some get opened up and now it's the end of the world? it's not like we are comparing motor oils.

  • THANKS MAN..NICE VIDEO

  • ugh, even the tough guard Frams are poorly made... WTF is correct about them!

agree that WIX are the best so far

surprised Super Tech = AC Delco = ValueCraft = STP

  • This dude is fucking funny.... WTF!! lol

  • HoneyWell Honda filters suck, you gotta find the FilTech Honda filters.

  • @eh2erik honeywell makes Fram nuff said :)

  • @fupabox which makes the Honda filters. Check it out, I'm not pulling your leg! LOL!

  • @haznonehere Yup...Honeywell..maker of Fram crappiness...scary huh?...You can bet the JDM versions don't use Honeywell filters

  • you sir, should not be allowed near power tools

  • good job,,,informative and entettaining.

  • They are ALL SHIT. watafak.

  • same thing with nissan filters. all paper shit.

Seems like all jap cars use paper end caps.

  • Look at that shit hahahaha

  • you sir, are amazing!

  • Hey Turbo, was that the K&N filter that had the same spring valve as the Honda paper POS? I think that is the most important part due to the specs required by honda when/if the filter clogs. Thanks a lot for the review bro.

  • the "WHAT THE FUCK!?" on FRAM was the best part of this video

  • "alll shit, fuck man, it's like negative 20 and shit!!!" LOL

  • looooook at that shittttt!

  • That Honda filter has to be th eone made by Fram and not the one by Filtech because the Filtech ones dont have cardboard ends.

  • I love your voice teehee.. so sexy! Plus I learned a lot..great info Turbo :)

  • Enjoyed your video,,good job,,very informative,,and boy do those fram filters suck! Let's see a baldwin and a wix next time

  • Get a dictionary dude.

  • @TurboD16z6 This is how you review an oil filter: youtube.com/watch?v=floUZGP6NZM Notice the lack absence of profanity. I appreciate you taking the time to do it, but man what does using profanity gain you.

  • THIS ONE WAS A BITCH!

  • haha nice video man.. so bosch is good ?

  • So what do u recommend for my 2011 Honda crv, as far as a oil filter? Which one should I get. I want the best protection.

  • i gotta say i loved this review lmao best yet. "its the same shyt!" hahah

  • This is the best oil filter review I've ever seen. The editing is unparalleled.

  • napa gold?

  • What about MANN filter?

  • can you review more shit please

  • i dont even wanna use my honda filter anymore.....

  • dude great video and keep them coming K & N for me

  • @JayzBeerz Honestly, K&N filters are a bit pricy. I'd spend a buck or two more for Royal Purple's oil filter. It abandoned the paper media and went with the glass fiber--which lasts 12,000 to 15,000 miles.

  • @Zeron18 Thanks dude I just got 2 Royal Purple oil filters from summit racing shipped for $28.93 for my 2004 Isuzu Ascender with the inline 6.

  • @JayzBeerz That sounds about right. Good deal. Now you just need a synthetic oil that can last as long as the filter :)

The only two I know of so far are Royal Purple and Amsoil. I got Amsoil in my car with Royal Purple oil filter. So far, it's at 2.9k and the oil is still yellowish and not that brownish color yet. A bit pricy but I did my math and found that paying 60+ per a year for synthetic is better than $14(4) + 3(4) for cheap conventional oil and crappy filter.

  • @Zeron18 Well the Royal Purple filter has the leaf spring in it I saw in a video. I heard a regular spring is better than a leaf spring. RP says any synthetic oil is capable of going for 12,000 miles with their oil filter. RP is easier to get than Amsoil so I might just go with RP. I have used Amsoil in the past with their oil filter and I went 10,000 miles on it and it worked great.

  • @Zeron18 Just got my Royal Purple oil filters and was happy to see inside each oil filter box they included a Royal Purple sticker for your vehicle. Thought that was pretty sweet.

  • @JayzBeerz Oh gay...The one I bought from pepboys didn't have any. Oh well. Yes, I didn't like the fact that Royal Purple used a leaf spring and it's also the bypass valve. I know for a fact that oil leaks around the side of that bypass unit for a Celica.

They oughta design their bypass unit like the K&N so there won't be any leaks. Nonetheless, I'm quite satisfied since it does save money on the long run.

  • @Zeron18 I'm not sure what and where you mean the Royal Purple oil filter leaks. K&N needs to stop using paper element and they would really sell well. Plus if you change your oil on time you won't ever have to worry about any filters by-pass valve. I also have a motorcycle and use the K&N for that and it has fiber in place of paper so go figure.

  • @JayzBeerz Well, in one of my videos, I chopped up a SuperTech oil filter. The bottom of the filter media is opened where the leaf spring and bypass unit is one piece. It doesn't fit snugly and unfiltered oil can leak through there.

Basically, the Royal Purple filter is the same as a SuperTech except that it has a nano fiber filter media and a silicone ADBV. Excluding the thicker shell, the design are the same.

  • @Zeron18 I just looked at a K&N tear down and it also didn't have a by-pass valve. Remember the ADBV opens only when oil enters the filter. There's no way for oil to get back into the engine without passing through the media fiber. I guess if the RP oil filter gets clogged say good bye to your engine unless you cut it off in time. And I would never buy a super tech oil filter but I have used their oil and transmission fluids and they work fine.

  • Motorcraft what up! Nothing compares to it...

  • i always use bosch for my BMW M3 E92, the one u got is standard i buy the performance specail filters normaly made for racing and shit

  • first time i ever seen a chinese guy swear 'WHAT THA FUCK, WHAT THA FUCK

  • first time i ever seen a chinese guy swear

  • What the Fuck?

  • This is the best "What the fuck" saying I've ever heard :D

  • I was laughing my ass off when I saw Honda's filter. I was like, FRAM!!!

  • best technical video ever

  • what oil filter would you suggest?

  • great video lol:))))

  • Bosch unquestionably the best brand I have ever used. The commentary on this is terrible. The video itself is useful. Those "orange seals" and springs he describes as building up pressure are neither of those things. They are check valves so oil only flows in one direction. The reason for this is obvious. You don't want the oil to go to the lowest point (oil pan) when the car is shutoff. When you start your car you want oil to be primed in the system.

  • @QuattroStig totally agree with ya man....so the worst oil filters r the fram and honda?? tho tthe fram is cheap.but honda is a rip off....poor honda owners who believe they get quality when they buy those expensive dealer honda oil filters...never expected it from honda...

  • Awesome review...What the fuck! What's this shit! Excellent. I expected more from the FRAM TG as it is up a level from the"Orange can of death". QC probably lacking on all types. A little extra glue on the M1 would not bother me too much (as opposed to underglued). Where does WIX/ NAPA Gold fit in?

  • it sux too k/n and royal purple filters all the way

  • WOW...Stop cursing JEEZZZZZ

  • what the fu....lolololol bro you are good ..keep on doing it

  • Keep up the good work. It was very informative and amusing. And I really appreciate the excessive use of fowl language.

  • I love the review, though the glue like what you found on the Denso is exactly what you want, because it seals the filter material to the metal end-caps and ensures that the oil passes through the filter and doesn't sneak out the edges between the metal and the filter. Based on what I saw I think the Denso has the best design.

  • Awesome vid man! Entertaining and informative. Nice to see someone actually edit a video for once.

Keep up the kick ass work!

  • TurboD16z6: good review man. i love the commentary

  • yea theres a few but it cost money.. right now to be honest wix is the best for the bang.. and thats what i been using.. 5.49 or something at oreilly

  • @TurboD16z6 Soo are the valuecraft oil filters better than fram? I donnot want to pay for shitty oil filters any more.

  • @TurboD16z6 WIX at my local O'reilly are 10.49 no joke!

  • That's a FRAM for ya....go Bosch!!

  • can u view my car without alerting or annoying anything?

  • If you review something like diapers, it would be epic!

  • Best oil filter review ever! ~Wha da FUCK!!

  • The Oil Filter was bull shit. Today we are using real filtration. And we need to use more filters today also. Not just one.

  • I've always used AcDelco on my car. It doesn't look bad. Nice video review by the way. You should review more stuff.

  • do more reviews

  • both honda and subaru use filters made by honeywell witch is the same company that makes fram filters, very disappointing!

  • What a fucking moron! Would you let this homeboy work on your car? Smoke another one dude and buy a filter cutter before you cut yourself and bleed to death- or maybe the world would be better off.

  • Hey !! How about the Vic oil filter a japanese oil filter????

  • :)) yeah :)))

  • funniest shit ever

  • You don't talk but shit. What the fuck?

  • FRAM SUCKS!!! DONT' BUY FRAM!!!

STP MAKES SUPERTECH FOR WALMART IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN

    GREAT VIDEO MAN

  • I have a B16B. As durable as those motors are, I appreciate all the protection I can get. I use K&N and Royal Purple 10W40 in the summer time and 5W30 in the winter

  • for real man keep reviewing shit its funny

  • informative and enjoyable video,,always wanted to see those filters taken apart to see what i am paying for.

  • fweeezing my ass off

  • thanks for confirming what other sites have posted...

FRAM, and unfortunately some OEM honda as well as nissan filters, sucks due to the cardboard endcaps

  • most funniest review i ever seen! lol

  • looks kinda chitty 4:23

  • Comment removed

  • what part of mexico are u from?

  • It's Ironic, The *CHEAPER* Super Tech filter, is better than the Fram filter.

  • what a dumbass you are. Someday you will wake up and maybe stop living in your moms basement and maybe get a job. Feeble minded moron

  • 8:53 man, aint that the truth!

  • Did he taste the FRAM Tough Guard filter?!

  • Lots of companies buy from the same manufacturer, they only change the box. In my opinion all filters in this video would work just fine.

  • learn to talk what this is the wong wone??

  • MOAR

  • Man fucking Honda filter thats sad

  • this video is hilarious!

  • very funy african-amerikan accent imitating :) ,nice video ,thanks

  • funny video but yea lots of oil filters suck. they just look nice on the out side.

  • This is absolutely the best oil filter video ever!

  • LOL @ OEM Honda filter-- looks like its made by Fram POS.

    You should do Napa Gold.

  • That was funny your are hilarious, I watched another video and it turns out amsoil makes the best filter.

  • next do a micro guard , pro tec and a napa select do some more cheap ones lol

  • Two thumbs up for this guy!

Lots of myths are being busted, What the Fucckk! I was paying 10 bucks for shitttty filters..........damn! Not gonna happen again

  • you must have used one of the older AC delco filters when they were good, they changed manufacturing and are now paper.

I like supertech, they're about $2.45 and are a decent filter made in the USA.

Thanks for trumping all the hype on the 'higher end filters' very nice video!

  • lol....there were quite a few sexual jokes i could have made....

    that's what she said.. =D

  • Dude, you are funny as shit!!

Thanks for opening these up. Very interesting. Can't believe all that "paper shit."

  • "what tha fuckkk?!!" lol

Joking aside, this is pretty interesting. I am totaly disappointed in Fram and Honda...

    "Paper shit what tha fuckkk?!!!!!!"

  • LOL "paper shit what da fuck" .

  • what da fuaaack! (screach)

  • Hey, think you can do a vid of the Purolator PureONE filter?

  • all i herd was shit this fuck that lol

  • that's why it's so great lol.

  • So Super Tech is STP! NICE!

  • wow this guy is cool..i learned some stuff and got some laughs..but i just changed my oil 2day and well i use Jdm hamp honda oil filters and Wix and K&N,2day i used wix,,wayyy cheaper than K&N

  • @JDMFA54DR: I like wix too.

@Turbo: on the 'Tuffguard,' the bottom design is made for grip-- when the filter gets slippery..

  • I have yoused st filters no problems wix leak on me and fram sucks monkey balls

  • Wix????? Thay are good you need to review

  • I want this guy to review every product before I buy

  • Hey Dumb Fuck Your "seal" is to prevent the oil from returning after shut down it is not a seal, you fucking dumbass part store punk

  • Holy crap i just changed my oil and filter today, and got the castrol synthetic for 24 bucks on sale lucky me.. and bought quaker state, i'm not sure if its a good oil filter so i replaced my honda that looks exactly like that i didnt know honda oil filter is shitty on the inside i paid almost hundred for an oil changed in mr lube for that, what do i get a shit filter ok! now i would preffer do the oil change myself, i just save about 65 dollars! damn that honda filter is expensive than regular.

  • LMFAO Dis Iz Fukin Funny !

  • Yur mommason needs to slap the black outta ya.

  • pwretty cool, pwetty nice

  • That was cool. I was super surprised to see that the honda one was such a POS. The delco one was good.

  • I don't know why this insecure Chinese guy pretends to have any street cred. He's worse than Vanilla Ice. He seems more like a vulgar Curly Howard. It's like someone grabbed him by the testicales and squeezed....What the F@$k!!!

  • He talks like a black guy.............

  • The Bosch, Motorcraft and Purolator are made by the same company with more or less filter media.

  • thanks for the lesson !

  • Many filters are made by the same company for other brands but use slighty different specs for them.

Check out a site called minimopar they have full detailed oil filter review.

  • the bosch should have an anti drain back valve not sur it went

  • The STP, AC Delco and Wal-Mart SuperTech filters are made by Champion Labs which is why they look identical but have more or less filter media.

  • seriously i think you should be sponsered to do this shit lol bust out them high price names to get the same shit! and yes, very disappointed in mobil1

  • damn nigga this is some gangsta shit yo fuckin damn brah

  • I'd go K/N too

  • this is genius.

  • you should do the Jdm honda oil filter.(Green)

  • Great Job... I am R&D for the Glue for these products and you just made best comparative analysis of these filters. The glue is save. It is a Polyurethane chemical resistant glue. Great Job....

  • aint nothing wrong with glue

  • yea.. i should glue your car together too..

  • lol!! so then when i see it i can then say "what the fuck!?!"

  • fuck u fake nigger

  • @TurboD16z6 Well if it is glued really well then no oil is going to bypass the filter edges... Best oil filter video ever since you tested so many, purolator, mobil 1, and the K&N are some of the best filters I've seen. Personally I use the K&N since autozone them and the nut thing welded on the top of the filter is super nice since I dont have a oil filter wrench thing.

  • @TurboD16z6 Lotus Glue's their cars together... seems to work ok for them.

  • The Honda oil filter is made by Honeywell the makers of the infamous FRAM filters that have cardboard end caps vs. metal like the other brands.

  • What about filters that are less than 10-15 years old?

I'm estimating the date of the video from the host's now-obsolete wigger act.

  • I will send you a K&N and a Hastings. I can actually see the glue in the K&N.

  • i will go with k/n

  • You are good!

  • lmfao, "wtf is this shit" hahahah

  • LOL FUNNNNY SHIT!! K&N FTW...8)

  • We want another video with more filters!! Awesome!

  • hahaha lmao

you should have gotten a purolator too, this is awesomely funny

  • the sad thing is that I will never get those ten minutes back!

  • Comment removed

  • lol

  • you should have a show on tv lol, uncut.
