Michael Jackson has done many rock songs .i.e., Dirty Diana, Shout, Give in to Me, 2000 watts, Threadened, Come Together, even Privacy, so,....I think MJ should be consider for rock as well. MJ has had strong rock guitarist on these songs including Slash. Check it out before u dismiss his talents for rock...

This award makes sence. Putting Michael in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is absurd, since he never made a single rock song. he was the king of pop. He deserves to be in the Pop Hall of Fame. not in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.

I think you need to go back and listen to MJ songs again. He had a lot of Rock element in his music. It seem like every album had some kind of rock song or two. So I think he should be in both Pop Hall of Fame and Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
