For the most part the only thing you have to pay for on a flight itself is alcoholic beverages if you want them and they give you a decent snack, but it's going in this direction. They just a few years ago started charging for checked bags, and with the threat level requiring the 3-1-1 rule, some people are making a pretty penny off containers specifically for such a thing.
