Thank you for this video! You are a great speaker and I feel for her story. Wow she is a strong girl but I know she has no choice but to be strong. This must be hard on her family. I remember when I was at SickKids it was harder on my family than me but I never had to go through as much as Stephanie did. What a remarkable girl! Since this video was uploaded in 2008 what is the update? Is she still accepting emails?

God bless you Stephanie and your family, my son Charbel was born with a heart defect that wasn't detected until he was born. I had a normal delivery that nearly killed him. He had open heart surgery at 6 months and is doing fine. My family and I have faith in God and I will be praying for your beautiful daughter.

A life without normal eating is a difficult one. Food has such a big part of our lives. To see others eat, and know you aren't given this privilege is a horrible fate for a child. To make it all the more hard having tubes, and other medical supplies attached 24/7. I live this life, but have begun simply tasting foods. It'll never be the same as being given a food to swallow all of it.

what a brave little girl and it such a nice video right now im 19 years old i was born with a giant omphalocele. my stomch makes me look im pregnant even though im not. sometimes i hate it,i have other problems like small lungs, i wear hearing aids. i was born in BC children's hospital and i stayed there for a year and a half because of my conditions. so now im turning 20 in about 3 months i live a heathly life. it hard sometimes but u will get throught it

She is such a strong little girl. I can relate a bit. I was born with a giant omphalocele, and am on medicine for digestion, acid reflux, and much more. I have lots of health problems, and get stomach pain often in the pit of my stomach. It's not easy, and isn't easy growing up with obvious differences.
