The ps2 graphic card is weak, clock wise, but also had around 40 gigs of memory bandwidth, which demolishes anything of it's time. No video card can keep up with that, from the same year. Also you have to understand that console games are DVD, made to run smoothly at 30 FPS. PC are made to run smoothly at 60~100.

@WaterMelnKidd By ratings the ps2 graphic card when it came out, in 2000, anything gbps of bandwidth was unheard of on PC. My card that came with my computer (in 2003) was top of the line, and it was a 300$ card, with only I think 11 gbps of bandwidth. That being said, the ps2's card also has around a 300 mhz core clock, which again, was impressive at the time. AND they're made to run 30~60 FPS depending on region.

Ghost Recon, running at 30 FPS on ps2, is smoother than Ghost Recon running at 60 fps on PC. Also, CS:S LOOKS smooth at say 60-80 FPS, but the game system isn't smooth. Source isn't a smooth game to play until you're hitting ~175 FPS. And since PS2 games are all about speed, how does 8.0 gbps outperform 40?

While you're sitting in your room being alone, playing counterstrike, console players have friends over, are socializing, and playing games with them. Origin's user interface is a lot cleaner and easier to navigate than steam's, and it's a WHOLE LOT more stable.

What pisses me off about Origin and Battlefield 3 (the alpha at least) is that you need to ahve a browser window open to play it, because it uses a web-based tracking service.
