Hello friend it me Newnerfguns this is my new account. Anyways for all the people who are "dissatisfied" at this amazing plane maybe you should redesign it with a normal tail and a little larger and balanced. Send me a message of what you think of my idea.
Though the body is rather massive. Maybe it could be more "slim"?? Less weight = energy gain.. (exepted if it meant to carry passengers)
It is a two seater, yes?? Maybe it could have a gunner cockpit over the nose turret.. To care both of piloting, weapons system and targets would be a big work load -even with the computer assistance.
And what about wheels of the landing gear, as for an VTOL aircraft it wouldn't need of it, I guess. Could have ski instead:)

couldnt fly because there is no horizontal stabilizer. the counteractive down forces it provides neutralizes those of the main wing. without it it would pitch down in foreward flight and thus be unstable and unflyable.
It has gas rudders on the nose and tail beam. And, aside from that, in horizontal flight engine blocks oriented horizontally, top engine go to minimal and balance thrust to compensate any pitch. It can be controlled only by electronics, like any maneuver on such scheme.

BTW: hopw you do this type of things, I mean in what software do you do this??? I would like to try myslef, please, can you tell what software are you using?

And perhaps a two-man/tandem cockpit for gunner and pilot? That reduces workload and generally works better. I love the concept :) keep up the awesome work ^^
i think cruise speed about 500 km/h, but 4 jets can provide a powerful punch up to sound barrier, the only problem is stability at such speeds. And, of course, range cannot be long. At present tech level - nearly 100 km, so FARP is needed.

I speculated for some time about a combat unit, capable for city close combat, that can easily maneuver through and over closely placed buildings. Such power plant scheme gives ability to turn fuselage into unusual angles while engines stays vertical.
About a field of view - as you can see on 3:22 - when pilot turns his head from frontal direction he can see picture, composed by 3 external cams, and 4th - on a gun turret.

And i think that design is complete and balanced enough.
Large tail will be obstacle in tight streets, and do not needed in hover - most frequent regime for this craft.

2. yes, such schemes needs very high energy fuel

4. well, this machine IS A TANK ;) and watch the video closely - 3 cameras gives a 360 deg view on helmet.
