I have recorded with a marshall MG15 befor, it had the sound i wanted over the big marshalls. i also never said you couldnt play guitar, im sure your awesome. this was filmed nearly 5 years ago after a morning of messing around with the solo, I didnt think it was to bad considering it was done by ear.I can assure you my girlfriend osnt think im gay. @elpajaro27 Obvisouly you no nothing about music if your going to actually try to compare skill and sound from insterments and amps. All The skill and sound comes out of the player. The two solos weren't the greatest things I have ever heard but they were pretty intermediate which is alright. And for the equipment, if you can't pick up any guitar plug it into any amp and sound the same as another, than you definetly not as good as the musician to actually start judging others..

Your improv is a hell lot better than your cover of Slash's solo. The bends are all off, the rhythm is off. I'd also recommend starting on the 12th fret, 3rd string, makes it a lot easier.

that is a Marshall jcm 2000 100watt DSL, very good for the heavy sound, i sold it as it was not what i was going for at the time.. if your after heavy then yes, its a great amp, if your looking for a rock tone i would look elsewhere, i have my eyes on a JCM 800, at the moment or a Vintage modern

How do you get that awsome knocking on heavens door solo sound? The sorta "thick.......uh........ya know.......deep tone"? I have messed with my amp and Les Paul FOREVER, and cant seem to get that sound. Is it some sorta pedal i need? Chorus? Distortion(which i use)? u don't need any pedal what so ever...What I did is just make the "woman tone" (neck-pickup with volume on 10 and tone on 0). With my marshall mg30fx I got pretty darn close(setting; gain=9 bass=8 middle=6 treble=8 abit of reverb and volume on 8) :)
