It's been like that since 2001. On WGN, the 1995 CGI Mountain is on it. I haven't seen the CBS/Paramount logo. But the CBS Television Distribution one is on the season 9, 10 and 11 DVDs.
WLVI Ch. 56 is the CW affiliate. After UPN was merged into the CW, WSBK went back to independent status in 2006. Today, they are still technically independent, but in September of 2011, WSBK began carrying the MyNetwork TV service, which, as you may know, began as a seventh national network. MNTV was later stripped of that status, now modeling itself as a syndicated programming umbrella similar to ION and past services such as PrimeTime Entertainment Network and Operation: Prime Time.
What year did you record this on and did you use Dish Network for that one?

I remember MASH and Cheers coming on in the same lineup a while back but now they're both on The Hallmark Channel.

Strange how "Cheers" kept the Blue Mountain logo after so many years.

this is an older print
more recent prints have either the 1995 CGI Mountain, Eye in the Sky, 2006 Wallpaper, or the current CTD logo

@samsticka though some reruns (since the 2001 Remasters) will rarely retain a Blue Mountain such as an episode from Season 5 "Norm's First Hurrah."

@megamanj2004X Really? I've never seen that. I mean, I have seen it, but that was before the 2001 remastering.

I agree with you there, samsticka. Since Viacom through Paramount Pictures owned WSBK UPN 38 from 1994-2006. Now CBS owns WSBK.

@catbeast2007 Is WSBK the CBS affiliate for Boston?
samsticka 9 months ago
Not on UHF Channel 38 it wasn't/isn't (usually, networks only have to affiliate with UHF stations in secondary markets; Boston is a major one).

@VaultMasterDBT So it's the CW affiliate?

@catbeast2007 also, Cheers originally aired locally on WBZ - that station is too owned by CBS

@samsticka another Paramount show which hasn't circulated with plastered logos is MacGyver

@LogoAttitude Do you know about the HUB channel? They've got "Laverne and Shirley" and "Family Ties" and they still have the old Blue Mountain logo.
samsticka 3 days ago
@samsticka I watch the Hub myself, but only the following shows:
GI Joe Renegades
Pound Puppies
and my personal favorite, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

It's only ironic that the UPN 38 ident comes after a closing of Cheers, because of their Boston connections.

Featuring the 1982 Paramount Television "Blue Mountain" logo with Television overlapping the mountain.
