yes its the lens like sim3218 said happen to a friend he fixed it by cleaning carefully the lens also if you fixed it clean your ps3 from dust that might fall in :)

The only advice i have for you mate is to take your ps3, romove all wireing and screws, put the whole damn thing in the bin AND BUY A FUCKING XBOX!!!!

sometimes if u have corrupt data it stops the blueray player from workin so erase ur memory or do a format of the memory

ur blu ray lazer is burnt out ur guna have to call sony and ask them to fix it i think its like 150 bucks tho....if its not under warnety

Hey buddy, your problem would be that the blu-ray drive lens needs cleaning or replaced. Either that or u will have to get the A new one.
