check out the Flying Pan from Ibanez, the closest you're going to get. it's a tremolo/phaser/panner. you could always buy a flanger and a panner separately, though.
Does this unit have true bypass? If so, utilizing the stereo function, couldn't one use this pedal for an AB signal for using one or two amps together -- like an ABY switch of sorts?
True Bypass is only available in mono. For stereo, there is a (INSANELY GREAT) buffered out. And yes, you can use it as a splitter to run two amps. That's what stereo is! Hehe.
it has true bypass, but since it only has a mono input, the true bypass only enables the mono (left output).
that is, it has 1 mono input and two "mono" outputs. when in bypass mode, only mono out 1 is enabled. otherwise, both are enabled and have different signals so you can send them out as left and right channels as a stereo pair.
if you set mix all the way to the left (100% dry) you could use it to toggle between 1 amp and 2 amps at the same time. (can't switch between the amps though)
i'm pretty sure eric johnson didn't use a tape flange (he has a tc chorus/flanger on his pedalboard), jimi hendrix definitely did use a reel-to-reel since these pedals didn't exist back then. this thing just simulates their sound.
great demo vid. i'd like to hear it thru a powerful head, just to hear the noise factor - i'm thinking of buying this pedal and running it thru a mesa dual recto.
I think Restro sonic chorus has better sound, but this has 3 built in 1!, chorus, flanger and a kind of leslie rotary...very good pedal indeed

does this pedal have a stereo panning effect for the flange setting? im looking for a flanger that pans in stereo!

Yep! It pans in stereo but you have to set it to "buffered" output on the chassis interior. It doesn't operate in stereo with true-bypass mode.

OK,... so how do you get a "High Landrons" or "House Burning Down" sound from the Choralflange? I thought they were both tape flange sounds.

I've bought this pedal and is incredible!!Very warm and liquid!!!!!No words to describe it!!!The best chorus i've ever had!!!!!

The pedal sounds good, but when the effect is off you lose the stereo signal...real bummer.
jacwilts 3 years ago
No you don't brotha. I run a stereo rig and on or off it splits my signal just fine.

Would anybody use this pedal instead of using a boss chorus and flanger?
ES7Mike 3 years ago
You will never get close to this sound with those mass-market pedals.
jacknarcotta 3 years ago
Yeah, I will never buy a Boss, Digitech, ect. pedal because all of those sound so cold and digital. None compare with the real thing.
d00derson 3 years ago
I'm going to buy it!!Yeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!:D
