Media confirmed it's part of Soyuz upper stage rocket according to what evidence, what proof? A drawing on some aero space track map or just because somebody in observatory said that? Where are the fallen remnants, photos from observatory... Nothing! Russians never confirmed that's their rocket. If so, then every time they lift off astronauts or cargo some parts of Soyuz will fall in Europe. That's nonsense. Media made the good story because Dutch was aboard and because it was Xmas eve.

My sister by Kiel, Germany saw something like that flying to the East around 17h or 18h. I'm sure it wasn't Santa Claus, cuz he would have gone to the North or West ;)
