The entry way you made interests me. Don't pistons only give you one block up/down, and arn't players 2? Is there something I missed in there that explains how it opens enough for you?

@Nooblar — When sand falls, it becomes an entity, furthermore a "transparent" one. This means that players and other mobs can walk through it. Only when the sand stops and becomes a block again do you take suffocation damage, as happened around 8:12. The pistons lift the sand one block-height, and in the half-second or so it takes for the sand to fall back down, it can be walked through. Though I confess I don't know why he doesn't fall down to where the pistons are... perhaps he jumps through?

@CinnamonTrees It's just naturally timed perfectly. The two blocks at body level turn from solids to entities just 1 tick before the sand at ground level becomes solid. This prevents me from walking through too early (and thus, falling down to the pistons). If the whole stack became an entity at the same time, I would fall down. But since it falls down in a "wave", I just walk through.

This is why I didn't describe it in the video. It's easy to do, but the science behind it is confusing.

Nice series! However, I feel that I just have to give you a tip regarding the torches.. Every time I run _deeper_ into a cave, I put the torches at the right wall instead of at the floor. That way it is dead easy to find my way back out just by running with the torches at my left side. =)
