  • Hi thanks for your kind comments. Peter pan is a Kerr Sutuart "Wren" class loco buit for industrial work. I think it's about 3 1/2 tonnes and travels around the UK and Europe on the back of a classic articulated wagon. It must be one of the most travelled engines in the UK.

  • That engines fantastic!! And at the end of the day you can just pop it in the back seat of your car and take it home.

  • Awsome video of an awsome railway!

  • From the pile of sleepers etc, I take it they haven't yet broken through the cutting!

    Shame the landowner won't cooperate.

A few years now since I was there but did see Peter Pan there once.

  • Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately they haven't managed to get into Wanlockhead but I hear they are going the other way further round Leadhills which has some fantasic views and the old remains of the engine shed. We are taking Peter Pan back to Leadhills on the 19th & 20th July 2008 for more hill bashing!!

  • @PMDVD I understand it is to do with the county boundary?

Pity they can't move it a bit to allow the line to progress.
