    LP

  • Boy, I wish I had a sentimental story about this song, I just heard it in a commercial and liked it...

  • we are singing this for the Beauty Pagent in ECI In Twin City, GA. Last concert my friend and i were the top hit in the christmas break concert at the end. The crowd went wild when we put a new part in it at the end. "I Hate to leave you but i really must say." (Piano. do ray mi.)"Goodnight sweeetthheart Goooodddnight.OOOOOhhhhhhooooooo." The audience love us and what i said was no lie.

  • I always listened to this song on my way home from work and the DJ would play this as he was leaving for the night good times

  • Remembered. Treasured.

  • Love this song one of my favorite movies is Three Men and a Baby and they sing this song its so cute

  • Nice slice of wax.

  • I love this song. When I was a baby my mom sung this as my lullaby. It still makes me relax and make me want to curl up to sleep now (I'm 18). Not even sure where she heard it, cause we never listened to this kinda music when I was young. We mostly listened to country.

This is just a really great song.

  • This was the song that always ended the party in the 50s.

  • GREAT tune! Love it. Cool Vee-Jay label! Super nice shape, too!!

  • Thanks, this was a lucky find. The earlier Spaniels recordings are near impossible to find in any condition.

  • People assume that this is a common record because it's a doo wop classic. Maroon copies are extremely hard to find clean and "The Spanials" copy shown above is nearly impossible to find. This was an R&B hit and probably sold a few hundred thousand copies but the song didn't get huge until it was revived during the "oldies but goodies" craze of 1961. At that time this was either pressed on a black Vee-Jay or the Oldies45 label

  • I always assumed this was a common record as well. That is, until I started looking for a copy. Thanks for shedding some light on the reason for it's rarity. Have you ever seen the red wax version miscredited?

  • I never have.
