niagara falls SUCKS on new york side. the area around there is a ghetto and the crime is rampant. It takes any charm out of an experience when a few blocks down from the falls you have a run down inner city neighborhood.....and the casino, it doesn't help to attract the right crowd either.

I've seen Niagara Falls on the Canada-USA border, and Iguazu Falls on the Brazil-Argentina, Both are stunning, but for sheer beauty, Iguazu comes out tops. Niagara is best seen from the Canadian side; Iguazu you need to see from both sides.
