  • He sucks

  • Who dislikes his videos?! o.O

  • @Epiphony Bumbles6548 apparently......

  • The original version is the epitome of hyperbole and its much better to understand

  • What a shit crowd.

  • wow letterman was actually worth watching.

  • Sometimes I forget what the book is called that I'm reading. I usually flip to the front cover though lol

  • I read goodly!

  • I read goodly

  • he is hilarious..i don't know why we don't see more of him!!!!

  • Well, there goes my drink. Right outta my nose.

  • he seems slightly out of his element here

  • Really, they are barely laughing at Brian yet these morons laugh Letterman all night???

  • planet of the apes lol.

  • the title is there so people can look over your shoulder and see what your reading!

  • @Jas16899 they allow Internet at your mental retardation institute? DUMB ASS, Learn your history!!!

The ancient greeks discovered the atom

    5th century B.C.!!!

Wow your so dumb, nuclear bonds?

People like you, are the ones that kill this world.

  • Man, why is this guy playing dumb? He talks about how reading is hard... then cites the ancient (?) Greeks as having discovered the atom? How is that even reasonable or justifiable?

Oh ho ho it's just a joke! Well it's insulting if you know ANYTHING AT ALL. Which the typical American doesn't. You shit heads don't know how to read, which WHY you don't understand the history behind discovering nuclear bonds nor do you understand the implications of using the atom bomb in WWII.

  • @jas16899 What the hell are you talking about? Yeah, Americans have no idea how to read. Your correct. Most powerful nation in the history of the world; but yeah, we have no idea how to read. Oh yeah and history, don't even get me started. We don't understand nuclear BONDS? Your right. When you learn to spell properly and type english, then you can insult the people who speak it. Dumbass.

  • @jas16899 Cool story bro. It's a JOKE, tight-ass. Don't go generalizing an entire nation just because you don't have the slightest understanding of how comedy works.

  • @jas16899 He correctly stated that an ancient Greek was the first to propose the idea of the smallest molecule. That is usually stated as the first proposal of the atom, although one day it will be cited as the first proposal of the existance of a "string". Just STFU and listen carefully next time bro.

  • @jas16899 Hi, you know that computer you used to type that post? Yeah, thank America for that. Next.

  • Comment removed

  • @jas16899 So you removed your "I'm influenced by American programmers" post.

  • My Fav too. He used to get bumped off DL so many times and he was the best the show had to offer. Stupid NBC!

  • can't believe I missed him at the Peabody. geez

  • I saw this guy live before....my favorite comedian XD

  • I love Brian Regan. He can be too self-deprecating though.

  • @CaptainCrunchOwns but that's one of the best kinds of humor though, if you do it right. Many comedians nowadays still make jokes about different races. Brian Regan's style is clean and funny. He makes fun of everyday hardships and things people just don't happen to notice. I especially like the "I walked on the Moon" video from him by the way.

  • He messed up at 2:37

  • is it just me or does this guy sound like peter griffin sometimes

  • he meant 50 pages per minute, not 50 words per min

  • "goodly, sorry" hahaha

  • This is from Epitome of Hyperbole

  • In the interest of fairness......lol

  • Yea seriously one of the most underrated comedians ever, Will Ferrell wishes he could be Brian Regan

  • he's so underrated. my favorite comedian ever.

  • @trainingTraceur WTF? I thought that was funny. How could you say it pissed you off? That's a little too much just for some little thing he does. you're very hateful aren't you. HATER! it makes you sound violent dude.

  • "ohh okay plant OF the apes.. i was seeing all these apes and wondering what the heck is going on?"

    LOL

  • hahaha he is hysterical

  • Did he mess up the "50 words per minute" thing? Don't most people read much faster than that? Then he said that he was flying through the book. Oh well.

  • @MacWillyFortunes I think that's the joke.

  • @MegztheTackleQueen I heard him tell it differently before. It's just that it doesn't make sense...obviously it was a joke. The joke was that he was reading like 40 pages a minute, but his comprehension plummeted. I thought that was a funnier way of telling it.

  • SEE HAS EYES LIKE JORGE W BUSH.

  • dont cut brian regan off. fucking letterman..

  • "What the Hell am I reading? Oh it's right there at the top!"

  • Love this guy, but the bouncing thing he does pisses me off.

  • i just love the way he bounces his head

  • This isn't as good as most of his, but this crowd is terrible anyway.

  • Absolutely hilarious. Love this guy and his clean standup

  • oh geez, the crowd is so stupid doesn't even know when to laugh... lol

  • He went to my College!!

  • ended good with planet of apes

  • So original. Killer delivery. Clean material. BR is top notch.

  • What a class act... He should have his own show someday.

  • Hahaha love this guy

  • ONE OF THE FUNNIEST OUT THERE!

  • Regan's the man. Always been one of my favorite comics

  • He did great. You do not have to worry about him - he's here to stay. He's developed a huge fan base who appreciate him and his non-foul act - one of the few.

Wonder why he doesn't do a sitcom, though.

  • LMAO PLANET OF THE APES

i was seeing all these apes and i was like what is going on OK its a planet of them

  • Tv audiences like this are always the toughest crowd.

  • @patrckhh20 late night talk show audiences are told to not be loud during a comedic routine

  • "i was seeing all these apes.." LMAO!

  • "I PLUMMETED in comprehension..." HILARIOUS :)

  • lol he messed up. 50 words a minute.... he meant to say 50 pages a minute.....

  • @joeyjokester

i may be wrong, but i think 50 words was intentional. its supposed to show just how bad he is

  • @watsfordinnr i watched him do this skit in another video and he said 50 pages a minute....

  • You really have to see his live concert clips without a time clock to appreciate his greatness!!

  • he should've cut down the act so he can keep the timing imo

  • You guys should see Brian Regan - Spelling Bee.

    It's hilarious!!!!

  • he had to rush his acts these are on his epitome of hyperbole act, but its cuz hes on letterman, and even while the audience is laughing, they are still a tough audience

  • well, they are there to see Letterman... so they're not there to laugh anyway.

  • haha, yes!

  • the closer kills on this one...

  • This is so freakin funny!!!!!!

  • I don't think you understood my comment. He's not playing dumb, he's making fun of it.

  • i love him but i wish he wouldn't play dumb so hard. he's really really intelligent.

  • I don't think he's playing dumb, he's doing it with irony to be funny.

  • I don't think you understood my comment.

  • normally very funny, but kind of bombed this one

  • Well, if he bombed this one, I did not notice. The audience was really laughing, and I thought it was very funny also.

  • Hey! What am i watching?!

Oh! It says right there, Brian Regan on Letterman - March 14, 2008.

I was wondering who that guy was that just walked out on the stage and started telling jokes and making funny faces. I looked up at the title and then it all made sense. I'm glad they do that.

  • LMAO

  • @r3pl1kazt47 LOL

  • @r3pl1kazt47 you're a bit slow huh?

  • @Reptoyd Not as slow as you apparently since you didn't get the pun i was intending.

  • @r3pl1kazt47 Oh man, I keep forgetting but then I look up, it's right there. It's so handy.

  • @r3pl1kazt47 uhh...... you know there are places that you see the title and not the video. Brian is a lot funnier than you.

  • @wgvlvcrazy Uhh huhuhhuh! Thank you Beavis! Or is it Butthead!

  • @r3pl1kazt47 OH MY GOODNESS! I ALMOST FELL OFF MY CHAIR! THAT WAS SO FUNNY! :D

  • This joke was so much better in Epitomy of Hyperbole

  • Yeah, but in the Epitome of Hyperbole the time was to his leisure, instead of having it limited like it was here. He had a lot more time to develop the jokes and draw them out more.

  • Yeah, you're right. heh oh well so long as he still remains amazing at "comedianing" I'll be fine :D

  • epitome

  • @BoyOfLol It was the exact same, just a shitty audience.

  • Its not only his jokes but his facial expressions too, even between jokes lmao

  • so true

  • 130,130 views! ha ha!

  • wow what a terrible audience...that guy is hilarious

  • Oh my god... he is funny.. pros and cons of reading... HAHAHAHA

  • when hes on these types of shows hes gotta get his jokes out in like 5 minutes so he cant drag em out. thats why theyre not as funny....but hilarious regardless

  • i wanna learn things! lol.

  • hahah love this guy - I could mute his routines and still laugh my ass off watching. awesome

  • He basically just did the epitome of hyperbole, but shortened

  • he always seems to do way better in front of crowds of like thousands of people than on a show with a crowd of like ten rows. bro, what up?

  • what the..

    OHH ITS AT THE TOP

    i dont know what im...

    WAIT YES I DO!!

  • "hey, lemme tell ya som'n. readin' don't ever dang do nothin!"...teeheeeeeeheeee

  • ahh

in another act he said pages

    but its cool

    dont get me wrong

    i like this guy alot

in fact i already have tickets to see him

  • yea he did mess up cause he says pages on another skit and besides, 50 words a minute is pretty damn slow so its obvious..

  • thats kind of the point of the joke...

  • Didn't know what I was reading, knew i was readin' something, didn't know what! - lmfao!

  • regan is the man

  • it's a whole planet of them

  • the problem is not alot of people know him. and hes the funnest guy in the world in my opinion

  • i'm almost ok with that. I love introducing him to friends of mine that don't know about him. If he was as big as Dane Cook I think it would just be sad.

  • ya. Dane Cook is way overatted. People need to see some new comedians

  • how fun would this guy be at a bar?! have you crackin up all night

  • I noticed that too teal.. but regan has been around forever

  • his skits have a lot of the same things as jim gaffigan is jim gaffigan using his material or is he using jims?

  • Brian's career started earlier in the 90s and Jim's bloomed in the early 00s. I'd say Brian wins by seniority. Also; don't quote me but Brian's as clean as a shower in continuous use...I remember Jim using some off-color comedy...but hes relatively clean so I don't quite remember.

  • thanks for the input i was just curious

  • Brian Regan

    Jim Gaffigan

    Dane Cook

In my opinion are the funniest comedians today

  • dane cook isn't funny...you aren't very smart for putting him in that list...he can't hold a candle to jim and/or brian...stop that.

  • It's sad that the audience there that night didn't seem to really be getting into his act. I think he's one of the most outright hilarious comics out there now.

  • "I knew I was reading something...didn't know what."

    Awesome

  • Don't whine about less intelligent people and then say doesn't not. Just because he doesn't use certain words doesn't make him better or more intelligent than other comedians. The quality of his comedy does. He could curse and be just as funny while other comedians could refrain from cursing and still not be funny. Try not to place so much weight on things that don't matter.

  • what the hell am i reading?! lol

  • i wanna learn... i wanna learn things

    :D

  • The thing is, less intelligent people will laugh at the mere tone of a swear word even though it doesn't not resemble a joke on it's own. I think it is complete mastery that Brian Regan's brand of comedy is so comical without the use of "filler".

  • This guy is totally HILARIOUS !!

    LMAO!!

  • he makes the funniest faces

  • you have no soul.

  • wow. ur sense of humor must be so dry it's scary O_O

i'm sorry everyone has their own opinion.

  • Brian Regan has been one of the funniest comics on the planet for over 2 decades...and he's got the talent to do it cleanly. He doesn't have to do what less talented comics do and resort to cursing or racism.

  • not all comics who use cursing or racism as part of their act are less talented. thats just the type of stuff they find funny and so does their audience. race can be halarious and if used right cursing can be extremely funny as well.

  • he said fifty words per minute. lol still funny.

  • lol this is from epitome of hyperbole

  • 50 words...whoops. lol

  • i love him he's the best!

  • ups I posted before I watched....its letterman 2009 i meant

  • love the hero stuff! REally fuckin funny

  • I think he meant to say '50 pages a minute'... he said it in one of his other ones but he said 'words' instead in this performance. It's a lot funnier that other way, since 50 words per minute is pretty damn slow reading.

  • Regan is the best around right now when he's on his game.

  • Carlos Mencia is a terrible comedian. No talent whatsoever

  • Brian Regan and Jim Gaffigan are the best.

  • They didn't cut him off... he ran out of time. They lit the (applause) sign before he was ready for it.

  • you really know your talk shows!!

  • WOW...

    lol they cut him off.

he was still talking, and the music came on (Like ashleylovesdaddy says) and he walked off... LOL

  • the band is told the last punch line he'll finish with so they know when to start playing... because he repeated "planet of the apes", they probably weren't sure if he was really finished... i'd guess that brian was done and was waiting for the band to kick in.

  • "WHAT AM I READING????"

  • i bet he could do a great george w impression

  • Dude. They cut him off right at the end. He's trying to still go on but the music started and Dave walked out early.

  • Moor-eee and moor-eee adoolts...

  • !then you wouldn't never had known why you had do datt!" lol

  • he is super funny

  • Haha indeed!!! I LOVE (besides all of his jokes) the "Planet of the Apes" part, when he's talkin' about how there isn't the title of the movie at the top when you watch one. Hilarious stuff.

  • I saw him a couple days ago when he was in Albany. He was absolutely amazing.

  • i was there!

the alpaca stuff was toooo funny

  • Ahh, that audience sucked, They really didn't laugh at a lot of his jokes.

  • i know, i've seen this so many times already and its still funny.

  • i know! my stomach tightened and i was like oh crap they arent laughing brian! what are you gonna do?!

    i feel nervous for him

  • are you deaf? plenty of people were laughing

  • watch some other vids of his comedy, the laughter is much louder.

  • yeah I noticed that too, fucking idiots, lol

  • planet of the apes ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahahahaha

  • Now I don't have to go back to the cover to see the title then find where I'm at again XD

  • OH MY GOD>>>this guy is soo funny....

  • i almost had a spit take when he said "but my comprehension plummeted" haha this guy's hilarious

  • i think he messed up on that "50 words per minute" line. in his special "the epitome of hyperbole" he says that joke but says something like "50 pages per minute" which makes more sense. this is still really funny though

  • realy this is soo funny and im suprised regan can keep it fnny without cursing...
