That's how they lost their gold, because of them shoving the Chinese team trying to pass them. There is a certain amount of guarding and protecting your territory, but shoving and pushing is absolutely not allowed.

Then, Korean skater's back part of the skate grazed Chinese skater's front part of the skate. That was the scence that the referee claimed for disqualification. There was no shoving and pushing. Yeah, Koreans are dominant in speed skating...and that's about it. J.R. Celski is a great up-and-coming speed skater as well. The U.S. roots for Apolo Ohno, but we have plenty of athletes in many other sports winning medals. I don't know anyone who worships him.

No, you didn't dominate figure skating. A Korean woman just won the first gold medal ever for Korea in figure skating. Korea didn't medal at all in Men's. Sorry, but Russia, Canada and USA have been dominating figure skating. As I've said before, everyone pushes in this sport and many get away with it. A Chinese skater ran in to a Korean and still won gold in the Women's Relay. Thumbs it down if you want, it's still the truth.

Huhmasta, you are looking at only the female solo figure skating and only at this year's competition. There is the Men's, pairs and ice dancing as well. Koreans did not compare to Russia, Canada and the USA in overall medals this year or in the past. Shaun White is wildly ahead of everyone else in snowboarding and has been for years. He has other teammates in Men's and Women's comps who medal as well. That would be an example of dominating a sport.

I don't agree on figure skating, even though Yuna Kim is amazing. I was addressing this person's statement about the domination of Korean athletes compared to other countries. I saw the replay from many angles and the Korean was slightly ahead. I don't mean the Chinese skater ran in to her on purpose or with force, but if one skater is ahead of another and there is contact, I would say that the one behind is more at fault. In any case, it was a bad call to disqualify Korea as I think it was obvious that they were less at fault than China.

actually pushing and shoving is not part of the game, and it can get you disqualified. Like the Korean women's relay team. That's how they lost their gold, because of them shoving the Chinese team trying to pass them. There is a certain amount of guarding and protecting your territory, but shoving and pushing is absolutely not allowed.

Then, Korean skater's back part of the skate grazed Chinese skater's front part of the skate. That was the scence that the referee claimed for disqualification. There was no shoving and pushing. Yeah, Koreans are dominant in speed skating...and that's about it. J.R. Celski is a great up-and-coming speed skater as well. The U.S. roots for Apolo Ohno, but we have plenty of athletes in many other sports winning medals. I don't know anyone who worships him.

No, you didn't dominate figure skating. A Korean woman just won the first gold medal ever for Korea in figure skating. Korea didn't medal at all in Men's. Sorry, but Russia, Canada and USA have been dominating figure skating. As I've said before, everyone pushes in this sport and many get away with it. A Chinese skater ran in to a Korean and still won gold in the Women's Relay. Thumbs it down if you want, it's still the truth.

Huhmasta, you are looking at only the female solo figure skating and only at this year's competition. There is the Men's, pairs and ice dancing as well. Koreans did not compare to Russia, Canada and the USA in overall medals this year or in the past. Shaun White is wildly ahead of everyone else in snowboarding and has been for years. He has other teammates in Men's and Women's comps who medal as well. That would be an example of dominating a sport.

Look at Korea! they had total of 46 athletes for this winter olympic and got 14 medals and 7th place. You know how good that is? meaning at least every 3 athletes has earn the medal. USA had 216 athletes and earned 37 medals. thats like every 6ppl. so ratio wise koreans did better. But thats all... doesn't mean korea is better of course not..

I don't agree on figure skating, even though Yuna Kim is amazing. I was addressing this person's statement about the domination of Korean athletes compared to other countries. In general, I'd agree that nationality matters little in the long run.

I saw the replay from many angles and the Korean was slightly ahead. I don't mean the Chinese skater ran in to her on purpose or with force, but if one skater is ahead of another and there is contact, I would say that the one behind is more at fault. In any case, it was a bad call to disqualify Korea as I think it was obvious that they were less at fault than China.

I watched the video so many fuckin times and in slow motion. Apolo was barely touching the guy and obviously he has been in this sport for years and would know that if he pushed his opponent, he would be disqualified. Everyone fuckin knows that. How repulsive. some of these comments are just plain rude and stupid. Saying koreans are all faggots? excuse me, but do you know every single korean person? Maybe Apolo shouldn't have been on podium? He pushes a lot and i myself find that he should have been disqualified a couple times. I would have liked Celski to be 2nd. Yes it was the koreans fault for falling. Just a correction, he didn't push him. His skate slipped on the turn. Good job Lee Jung Su on his 2 gold medals in short track!
