Why is it that in all japanese anime shows, the female characters talk in such abnormally high pitch voices that every one of them sound exactly alike? I've never been to Japan but I don't think women talk with a fake voice like that? Why can't they talk normal for the shows? :S

Anime-fans, my comment isn't trying to offend japanese animes. I'm just wondering why they put on high voices?

@nddlj clear distinction perhaps? maybe they're prone to hyperbole to make the female characters super-feminine. Japnese women speak slightly lower pitch lower than indo-european languages, so maybe its a reaction to the slightly lower pitch, therefore widening the gap for calirity,

@Avenger1199 and also fufilling the idea that they are representing females, and representations usually have to be the extreme ideals, again for clarities sake. any 'cartoon' drawing tends to take idio-syncrasies and make them more exagerated for this purpose.

Her name is Violetchi(vie-le-chee).

Her Japanese name is Furawatchi.

This literally translates into the English word Flower, thus, her name is Flowertchi.

Bandai had to change her English name several times, because the V2 ALREADY featured a character named Flowertchi.

She was called Korotchi on the V2, Leaftchi on the V3, and is now called Violetchi on the V4 and so on.

Yup. As stated before, the V2 already had a character named "Flowertchi" on it, and since Furawatchi's name meant the same thing, they gave her a different name. But as of now, her name is Violetchi, and it's stuck.

I'm sorry to say that you're not right! Her name is Fuwatchi in japanese, and in english her name is Violetchi.

The differents is, that Fuwatchi has pink skin and Violetchi has violet skin. But there still the same character.

Don't ask why she has two names. All I know is there was a mix up with the naming of her in the Tamagotchi versions. But I don't know which ones. I think its V2 and V4.
