  • I have always used this method since like the 3rd grade. once you get to a 3 digit by 2 digit numbers it takes an annoying amount of time

  • That's pretty cool. I find it rather cute how excited you sounded when doing the sums.

  • LOVE this method. Thank you so much! It's the first time I've heard of it, and it is so much easier than the methods I'd been taught in the past.

  • All your videos are so helpful.

  • thank you i am now very well unconfused about lattice

  • May I ask why you would ever use this method rather than traditional method ? just seems like a lot more work and time, however I could be wrong.

  • wow...i very knew about this.... i feel stupid as crap

  • omg! always a jerk voting negative, why if 42.685 views and a friking dumbass ruins everything!

  • I never heard of Lattice thank you sir for teaching everyone about that. It seems lot more easy set up that lattice than me using entire sheet paper on one problem plus your lattice way saves me more time. im going be taking my GED an its a time limit your lattice way will save me extra time. An I thank you deeply for that. Honest goodness thank you for sharing your wisdom with all us. You have ease my stress for me an Im going use your math teaching help me pass my GED test

  • How much time do you waste setting up the lattice?

  • I love lattice multiplication, I'm in 11th grade right now, and have been using it for 7 years since 4th grade when I first learned it. I've used regular multiplication maybe 20 times in the past 7 years, lol.

  • I have learnt something new, again. I've never heard of Lattice multiplication in all my 20years of learning in school. Just listening for it's sake, and viola! something new. I hope we all make a small donation. I have; a very small indeed. I know it's free, but you need to invest cash in something, anything.

  • Love it! i've never seen this way of working before. Thank you!

  • Lol thanks, good method, for my exams :P

  • Is it just me or this is slower than just doing it in your head lol?

  • @rinwhr You can do 5479 x 787 in your head?

  • @ninjajesus81 Nope.

  • I think he just uses Microsoft Paint with a black background :P and then funky Neon colours of course..

  • What program are you using? I love the ease of writing, and the colors you chose! I teach with a smartboard, and if it's an app I can download, I'd love to know! Thanks for sharing!

  • I always found this easier for me to understand I dunno :)

  • We had a lattice when I lived with that chemist. He built it, b/c he was frustrated that all the golf balls kept hitting his house. We lived on a golf course, and it wasn't just for show. They actually played games-every dag on day.

He was afraid a window was going to get broken, and he didn't like the spots they left on the house. So he built a lattice and the balls kept getting stuck in the spaces instead of hitting the house.

  • Thats crazy awesome! A lot of fun when you don't have a calculator handy

  • aha ive seen this somewhere before but i dont know what its called

  • this is very well done, and its a unqiue way of math, thank you

  • 1st view and rate!!!! Ur sooo awesome man!!!
