Using a spitter to charge in after a spit in a closet, or when horde etc keeps the survivors from going one way can often provide an extra couple of seconds while panicked survivors melee, rather than shoot you. Survivors won't be able to run freely until you die, which can add a couple seconds to their time in the original spit, plus your corpse puddle. You don't have much time to decide though, so don't charge in pointlessly if you've already missed the chance.

really well done guide i do all of these things spitter is one of my favorite classes now i used to be like "oh, spitter..." but when you know how to play one, you can rape whole teams because of one.

I mean, there all good and i'm sure they would help people, but the opportunities you have had to spit and regen is all because of your team helping out a lot, and the survivors stupidity. I'm not trying to be cruel or anything, but this is based on what your team mates/enemies do. Other than that, nice guide :p

Oh yes of course ! For the spitter to do huge damage on her own you need really bad survivors, like those who all go hide in the little box and all die there, or those who try to raise their fallen friend wihout killing the spitter first !

If the survivors are good, the spitter must use good teamwork tactics, not play solo.

@pppjunk Yeah you're right. I pretty much hate melee weapons now. I always look for the magnum or just use dual pistols on DeC1, and I prefer my team doing the same thing. I love chasing down people with melee weapons as the Boomer or Spitter :).
