Another reason why Paul would get somewhere between 0 and 1% of the black vote vs. Obama is the fact that racist newsletters were published in his name. That story is not going to go away regardless of how many times Paul claims somebody else wrote them. Back in 1996, Paul didn't deny writing them. Instead he claimed that the material was taken out of context. Now he claims that somebody else wrote them. Nobody's going to buy that. The Dems would be fucking ruthless in dredging that up.

@awildway -The problem with Dennis Kucinich is he's wishy-washy. Sure, he apologized for voting for Obamacare...but he still voted for it. He believes in government handouts every bit as much as any other Democrat (check his voting record) and that puts him at odds with Paul's policy of cutting down big government and returning it to only what is Constitutionally allowed. That said, I like Dennis and he is similar to Ron on foreign policy and the Fed, but he supports national medicine etc.

Another reason why Paul would get somewhere between 0 and 1% of the black vote vs. Obama is the fact that racist newsletters were published in his name. That story is not going to go away regardless of how many times Paul claims somebody else wrote them. Back in 1996, Paul didn't deny writing them. @awildway -The problem with Dennis Kucinich is he's wishy-washy. Sure, he apologized for voting for Obamacare...but he still voted for it. He believes in government handouts every bit as much as any other Democrat (check his voting record) and that puts him at odds with Paul's policy of cutting down big government and returning it to only what is Constitutionally allowed. That said, I like Dennis and he is similar to Ron on foreign policy and the Fed, but he supports national medicine etc.

@bobbyb826 It's a tiny problem since he doesn't want to legislate it...I'd say that should be less a deterent than the wars, the torture, the indefinite detention, the warrantless searches, etc., all the other candidates in the Parties stand for. Prioritize. I'm a market anarchist, and Ron Paul isn't my wet dream either, but he's the best out there by far. Don't be negative, think positive. Be thankful we CAN choose him, and don't get down there is no "perfect" candidate.
