  • To oni tam u siebie mają internet..?

  • i remeber doing this dance a few years ago!

  • lol Khmai? haha!! its KHMER =D lol yeah, pretty good culture since i'm part of it ;)

  • @KomPrenReanKido26 it's actually ភាសាខ្មែរ (sorry for the small size), how you transliterate to English is a matter of personal choice. i think khmai is actually closer to how it's really said... unless you're writing in French which is the reason the spelling "khmer" ever came to be

  • @PotemkinDogs Good to know; I don't speak French. Actually, it's quite difficult getting English speaker to say Khmer properly.

  • Where I can find this lyrics song? I can read cambodian alphabet a little.

    Thank you very much

  • I love Khmer culture so much. I eat , sleep and breath with it every second .

  • I enjoyed performing this as a kid! (:

  • The most important thing is don't forget to smile and relax while you are performing this dance. I see on here some of the guys are to stiff and look like robots. I used to perform coconut dance back in high school. We didn't have any videos or instructors that knew this dance that well. We were fortunate to pull it off. Back then, the late 80s, there were not to many exposure of our culture. Everything we did was what our instructor had remembered. Oak Park, Stockton,Ca. was the place.

  • my sister did this dance in front of 100,000 people

  • I was very blessed to be raised in a diverse area, and one which had a great deal of Khmer culture infused in it (I personally am Irish). I remember I saw this dance once at a folk festival, and I was totally captivated. This is incredibly beautiful! Ever since I saw it on here I've been watching it over and over! Great job, and please don't ever let this beautiful dance and music fade away!

  • i did this last year and im doing it again this year

  • @biolly8

last year we had two weeks to learn it and we made it...we have to do it again this year with new music and we only have to week to refresh our memory and there's two new guys dancing, plus not everyone goes to practice

  • @roctownangel really? hm, well it's just tough because we mainly practice on our own and through this vid. most of the time when we meet up we don't really practice seriously either, but we just performed for a school and we did great : ) now just to perfect it for khmer new years! hope things go well for the both of us !

  • Beautful dance and so rich in tradition!! Yes, I'm proud to be Khmer too. I learned this dance for the Khmer Show-- it's quite difficult to keep up the count. I think I mastered the Blessing Dance better than this one, but it was still fun. Bring back good old memories!!!
