Toons wouldn't be aware of themselves as such, otherwise their existence holds to itself no mystery: they'd seize to exist by way of realizing they CAN'T. They could entirely design themselves and their overlapping dimension - no detective'd figure out a case to them related. On the other hand, their dimension is humanly conceived.
@NUTCASE71733 Musta been some shody fun. And that ruined was yours alone, spread to nearly 17k others by saying its been "for people". Much greater fun would ensue with a real understanding of the world, for it's stranger than one CAN suppose, i.e., the impossibility this movie depicts is exceedingly näive, despite the technological implications of its accomplishment. Since you're so readily up for baseless generalizations, now extrapolate this last statement to the human collective.
You obviously have no imagination. We wouldn't have progressed to where we are currently without imagination, so do yourself a favor and go live in a cave.
@NUTCASE71733 Dude I just told you we did... I'm not going against your comment, but rather suggesting if the imagination was developed MUCH MUCH further (which inevitably means philosophizing and the likes) fun would be MUCH MUCH greater because barriers would further dissolve (i.e., compared to what could come from such a state, the concept of toon-live interaction seems just dull). And I'm saying we're doing ourselves the favor of going against that evolution... And by choice.
Amazing! These talented people had to create such difficult scenes, without the high tech equipment that exists today and they STILL made a much better job that most filmmakers do today. CGI is a great tool, but talented filmmakers is what counts the most.
Also the bits with Joanna Cassidy and Roger are obviously re-used bits of animation from the scene with Eddie and Roger in the cinema, just re-voiced. Hence he looks so sad.
Well, I practiced and now I can sort of do it. You need to create an air vacuum in your right cheek until it flaps, while your pronouncing the "p" in ppppplease. It's a little difficult, but like I said, I can sort of do it.
Thank you so much for posting this! I used to have this documentary on tape, but the first half was cut off and later the tape itself went missing, so I've never seen it completely. I just recognised it based on this part because I remember how they did the penguin waiters. This movie is simply incredible.
The scene with Daffy and Donald was pure magic. It's a real shame the Disney company is such a spoilsport. Can you guys imagine the amount of awesome stuff that they and Warner Bros. could have done if the people in charge weren't such jerks? I bet Walt is rolling in his grave.
@NUTCASE71733 Yes, it does. You're trying to get people reuse outdated stuff. The 80s are 80s and 90s are 90s. There's no way they can blend in with the second decade of the 21th century
Oh really......yeah, that logic is what put reality TV on the air. Just because something is old doesn't make it uncool or whatever. You are a idiot for thinking that.
@NUTCASE71733 And you're an idiot who thinks outdated stuff get support. How much money did Princess and the Frog made at the box office? Less than 1/3 of a Billion. Shrek has already proven 2-D animation is done for by defeating "Atlantis the Lost Empire" and the focus of the newest Disney Princess movie is not the princess herself but the male lead of the movie. Cool or not outdated stuff will alwaysbe outdated and never used again. You're the idiot.
The only reason that is is because idiots like you are more into flashy visuals than actual entertainment. Shrek is an awesome series, but thats due to storytelling, something that is seriously lacking in the movie industry these days, and the classic animation favorites you apparently hate are what set the standard for cartoons worldwide. Yet they are neglected no thanks to people like you who thinks old=shit. Kids these days don't even know who Bugs Bunny is and thats sad.
@NUTCASE71733 You're the even bigger lDIOT if you think people are gonna pay big money to see out-of-style stuff. The new WInnie the Pooh movie in 2011 will be the only 2D animated movie in theatres. It's box office it's gonna be a big deal for 2D. And why do Disney's Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty look like they were made in the 50s instead of the 90s or 2000s. Because they were! You can totally see the 50s in the characters' designs and the backgrounds. The only dated stuff is the remastering
It's not "out-of-style" you twat, it's called "classic animation". Something you apparently have no appreciation for. If not for these "out-of-style" mediums we wouldn't even have 3D cartoons today since that is more or less a modern take on the old claymation cartoons. You think you know what people want, but more and more people are craving the classic style which is why Disney produced Princess and the Frog in the first place.
@NUTCASE71733 2D animation is a pretty tough sale these days and they needed the Princess and the Frog just to see that. 2D animation, not the best competitor for computer animated movies. Tangled is computer animated instead of 2D like the movie right before it. There's no argument over the fact that Tangled needs to be computer animated.
first off, I wouldn't know what Tangled is since I had my TV service cut off to save money, as such I ahven't seen any adds. Second, I haven't been to theaters in over a year no thanks to a good deal of the CGI trash being pumped out of hollywood over the years.
If you so beleive traditional animation to be so crappy, why is it that the vast majority of people, including kids in today's generation, are asking more and more for classic cartoons and for 2D animation to be brought back in general? Why is it I had ten thums up for my original comment which was made LAST YEAR? People want a change. there's nothing wrong with a 3D cartoon, but there is something wrong if that's all we ever see from studios anymore.
@Serdikhan CGI cartoons are good, no question, but people have used them way too much. It's just as easy to draw in an audience using a hand-drawn image. But yes men like you continue to fuck up the entertainment industry, demanding realism instead of actual entertainment. Unless you can actually prove that people preffer 3D over the classics, we have nothing to discuss.
Because, movie makers nowadays throw out quality and proper effort, and just throw something together and hope it makes money, and if it doesnt, OVERGLORIFYING TIME! And if that doesnt work, they sit, weep, and never mention the movie again.

It requires creating an "air pocket" on your right cheek and just letting it flap freely as you try and pronounce the "plplplplplpl" sound.
