This dam was built on the same technology of 1800 years old, still functioning 'Grand Anicut' of Tamilnadu. There are even several dams (older than this one) built across southern India during British rule still in good condition. The reason Kerala govt wants to remove this dam is to nullify the 999 years agreement. There are lots of information available on internet to prove this if search properly.

Keralam is ready to give water to Tamil Nadu as it also depend on TN for foodgrains, milk, rice, etc. The only demand from KL is a new dam. But Tamil politicians especially during elections make people of TN belive they won't get water. Tamil politicians do it just for the votes. This dam was built on the same technology of 1800 years old, still functioning 'Grand Anicut' of Tamilnadu. There are even several dams (older than this one) built across southern India during British rule still in good condition. The reason Kerala govt wants to remove this dam is to nullify the 999 years agreement. There are lots of information available on internet to prove this if search properly.

Why does this video don't show central govt panel's recommendation? Where is Supreme court order? People (Tamils and Malayalies) should understand the politics around this dam. Keralam is ready to give water to Tamil Nadu as it also depend on TN for foodgrains, milk, rice, etc. The only demand from KL is a new dam. I think we may ask help from the Govt of United states and from UNO to find a solutions in this matter. It is a fact that, Govt of Kerala or tamilnadu or govt. of India, or even supreme court of India will not take this matter as a serious. Nature cannot wait for a decision of supreme court or a paper movement of Govt. We have to do something else very urgent.
