Perhaps one of the most beautiful scenes in movie history is when Bernadette first sees the "Beautiful Lady". The build-up in particular when the natural sounds fade and the music begins, simply wonderful.
Having said that, you can call me crass but I must point out that when the two girls first cross the stream/river. Watch the girl on the left when she lifts her skirt around around the 5:45 mark we can clearly see that she has gone "commando"...so to speak.
Actually it's from 1943.
